Sorry for my extended absence! I've been a busy bee with super secret projects of which I hope to share more soon. I've missed you all! ❤
Here I am with something a little different for this channel - a single review of "The Tidal Zone" by Sarah Moss, which I thought very much deserved its own discussion. I really hope you enjoy it 🙂 Please let me know your thoughts if you've read it or tell me if this has tempted you.

Hello Vix! Sorry for my absence. As I told you before I haven't been in my positive, best state of health. But I miss listening to you directing books. I really needed it! So, thank you. I´ve never been inclined towards contemporary but... as always, you convinced me. I adore the fact that the father is the one staying at home and the fragment you read it is wonderful! So...I may give it a go. Thank you for being there...and of course, if you like hugs, tons of hugs from Spain!

A friend of mine started reading this while waiting for me in a book store, and she fell in love (and bought it, of course). And because of her and now you and your fantastic review, I need to read it. This video was over all gorgeous. Loved it 😊

I'm from Egypt, and people here appreciate Valentine's day so much that they have another "local" one. :) Though "appreciate" would be a weird word for it, because it's hugely commercial, whether the 14th February one or the Egyptian local one. As for me, I just love it! Of course, being in a relationship enhances it somehow? I'm engaged right now, so maybe that's why? I don't know how I'll feel about it once I'm married, though. Sorry fro a long comment, but when you were talking about your viewership demographics, I wanted to let you know that there's someone from Egypt who adores your videos. :)

I adored The tidal zone, it was perfect. Disappointed that it didn't make it to the Bailey's longlist (Hi from Spain!)

Hi! I'm so glad to see you back. I am anti-Valentine's Day, even when I'm not single. I just think it's a silly tradition to increase consumerism. I am late to the Tidal Zone bandwagon! I do finally have it, but my brain wanted to read Human Acts first. And then it needed to recover. I didn't think I liked stream of consciousness writing until I read Ali Smith's The Accidental. Now I can't get enough. I'm excited to see that you loved it despite the hype. This makes me want to read it more.

Hi!! So happy to see you here too :) I've been meaning to read Human Acts ever since I finished the Vegetarian - I hear it's excellent but very tough going. Would you agree? If you like Ali Smith, I think you'll love this :) Let me know what you think!

Bilingual Bookworm Human Acts is brutal and intimate and stunning. It took me a week to read because I would take breaks between chapters to read a graphic novel or two. It was difficult to digest, but totally worth the emotional investment. I just finished The Tidal Zone and completely loved it! I became so absorbed in the intertwining stories and immersed myself in Adam's thoughts. It is beautiful.

You've renewed my wanting to read this book in a big way. I really wish it was published in the US because I don't have a lot of spending money at the moment and have been getting all new books out of the library...but I just checked and it's just under $9 on Book Depository, so I guess I'll just have to go ahead and buy it. ;)

My partner and I don't celebrate Valentine's Day - it seems way too commercial. I'd rather spontaneous compliments and gifts from my partner rather than getting them because shops tell him he should. This is the first video I've seen of yours - love your background and your manner :)
