Awesome video, Thanks! I've used Selway stringers since day one, but this is the first time I've seen these ideas before, so simple, yet effective. I have made string keepers for some of my bows, and this is great, I just need to shorten the length of my stringers.

Yep the stringer becomes multi functional. String keeper and limb protector.

Man, this is a great tip. Works perfectly on my Bear Kodiak Magnum with the same Selway Stringer. Thanks, Jason!

I make it even simpler. I leave all my bows strung😂😂😂

That works too. Many states require the bow to be unstrung when in a moving vehicle. Canada requires a bow to be in a case every minute outside of legal light.

I am tempted to buy a string keeper for Asiatic bows and use on my longbow stringer especially on my Great Plains Traditional Archery Youth Longbow where model is made for 45 pounds at a 24 inch draw (I am 24.5--25 inch) where on all bows you void warranty because of how skinny the strings are on all models, recurve included in not using a stringer. I hate using a Rubber block on one end of bows string as on my Youth Longbow model I have to be sure stringer is higher up on limb as limb gets really skinny.

Yep I much refer a stringer. I can string a longbow upto about 70 pounds by hand. But the string is so much easier and the stringer serves multiple purposes.

@@SamkoTradBow I am 40--5 pounds on shorter longbows up to about 64 inches as any longer I am unable sting up by hand being 5 foot 2 inch and arm span is 1--2 inch shorter hen average for my size. I can also do for 99% of recurves up to a 45 pound bow. Any poundage higher and I struggle in stringing up bow recurve or longbow as I can sort of get a 50 pound recurve strung up. I need to use a through the leg method for all bow types due to having an issue with stringing up a push pull for a longbow given my small arm length.

I noticed that you no longer wear a watch. I found your channel from your Promaster Tough review so that's probably why it's noticeable to me.

Said all my life the second I retire I will never wear a watch again. even though I work harder now than I did before, I gave up the watch. and everytime I look at my wrist for it (still do that today) I remember that I have reached my goal at 48 years old. Funny thing is I just gave the promaster to my son in law, and I have 2 new still in boxes citizen field watches. Plan to give them to my grand son some day. also have 6 or 8 citizens, tag heurier, and a hamilton and Seiko's that I will pass down to him to some day sell as classics.

I'm a big fan of using a stringer. The other methods are ok but the stringer is so much easier and safer that I don't see any reason not to use it. I started with the step-through method as a kid. At 68, if I tried that today I'd probably trip and kill myself. Stringer all the way.
