Talking of returning to a bit of the old "durable" identity, it would be cool to have a contagion which was something like +1 toughness or FNP for the death guard units giving the contagion

I bought all my Warhammer stuff in 9th. I started assembling then painted 6 pox walkers. I was so excited for 10th. Then I was watching the reveal while painting. The rules were trash. Facebook was on fire. I stopped reading Warhammer books and I needed a break. I've tried to get back into painting but it's been really hard... I've been reading new lore books then drama on a different army started. Not sure if I'll ever have my army painted...

i agree with Jannis. DG doesnt feel tough, but we are still painfully slow. its so easy to get caught in the open and its also easy to get kited across the board. i think DG is missing an anti-tank type model. maybe some more ways to get "cloud of flies" for free to make up for lacking durability and being slow

What unit do you think Deathguard needs? Would love possessed, drop pods, vindicators, helldrakes, a *insert units I have before they took them all away ☹️* Or a DG hellhound like thing. Or a plague landraider Redeemer with plaguestorm cannons.

So this isn't directly related to this video, but here it is. I've heard Aiden mention a couple times now the flamers. And in particular the Plaguecasters torrent attack being useful for the +1/2AP strat as their attacks auto hitting are critical. Where is this written as that doesn't seem to be anywhere in the Core Rules? Thanks.

Not on the plaguecasters but on any of the anti infantry flamers. Like plaguespitters, plaguespurt gauntlets etc. This is because of the anti infantry rule. If you roll the anti infantry X rule those wounds always count as critical wounds which will trigger the 2nd half of the ferric blight strat

If power creep is what defines an edition than that edition was not good. Long story short 9th was trash

Jannis is not a competitive DG player. His videos are entertaining but half are not fully valuable for that context.

He fully admits he is not competitive, but the work he does on the maths of units is very accurate and useful for all levels of skill :)
