In most school bus to tiny home conversions people install plank wood or tongue and groove ceilings. This is for simplicity sake as well as aesthetics, but it's something we've seen too often in builds and we wanted to try our part to move away from that trend.
In this video we're correcting an issue with our back windows, finding a good way to black out the lower sections that will be hidden behind walls, and then making sure all of our wall and ceiling seams are both sealed and smoothed. We're using body filler (Bondo as a proprietary eponym) to give us the best shot at a crack free finish, long term.
We're also attempting to tackle an issue with wood walls in builds, and that is making them as smooth as sheetrock, without the negative effects you'd encounter with having sheetrock in a bus conversion (seriously just don't do it), by using Homax wall texture.
We're trying to incorporate a little more of our day to day lives in our videos again at this point to circle back to you, our core audience, as we've never intended to be an educational or best practice build channel.
