While there are many reasons your A/C may not be functioning properly, one of the most common is that it has lost refrigerant. Luckily, the A/C Pro Ultra Synthetic R-134a A/C Recharge kit provides an affordable do-it-yourself recharge solution.
Let us take you through the recharge process step by step and show you just how simple it can be to recharge your A/C yourself with A/C Pro.

I so appreciate the video. Was taking a 5 hour trip by car to NY and my A/C was pumping out hot air. Local oil change place wanted $199 to recharge the A/C. I watched your video and bought the A/C Pro Kit and in literally 10 minutes had the A/C nice and cold. Thank you! A crime to charge $199!

I lowered the A/C temperature using the A/C Pro kit following the instructions here. My A/C system was behaving oddly before the recharge. Ford 1999 F-250. At the first step, I started the engine and turned the A/C to MAX. With just the gauge on, the needle would go from green and then dip into white for a few seconds, then the A/C compressor clutch would kick out for 4 seconds, then back in for about 20 seconds. This repeated for 10 minutes. Each time the gauge would drop to about 22, then rise to about 40. I re-checked the A/C controls, all correct. I decided to just add a little, as the analog gauge was dipping into the white area, about 20 PSI. After adding new refrigerant for a minute or two, the cycling stopped and the A/C system stayed on! This was a pleasant surprise. I continued adding till the gauge read about 35 PSI. Nice cold A/C now. Thanks very much!

I have a 1995 Chevy Blazer I recently bought from an older guy in my city. He never drove it during winters so for a 23 year old truck, it was PRISTINE! Anyhow, shortly after I bought it the AC seemed to need a recharge. I'm a DIY'er, or at last as much as I can. So my research led me to AC Pro. The instructions seemed too easy to believe, , , but it really was that easy! In just a few trigger pulls the trucks AC compressor kicked in, , , yeah, signs of life! A few more trigger pulls (while shaking and rotating from 12 o'clock and 3 o'clock) the gauge was reading all green. I even have refrigerant left over, which is a good sign that the system was not completely out, but was just low (what else to expect after 23 years). I want to end by saying this is an awesome and easy to use product! It a LOT easier on the wallet than a trip tot he service garage!

Just did this for my 2012 Honda CRV. It’s a temporary fix, but it works wonders on my AC now! If yall are doing this, be sure to not overcharge. I charged mine up to around 31 psi. It’s better to undercharge than to overcharge. Also take into account of the ambient air temp. I did mine when it was around 78-80F in my garage. It’s also very important to know how much psi that your car operates for the A/C. Some cars have a lower/higher psi that the a/c takes of refrigerant than others.

Good point at the end of the video. Too much refrigerant is also a problem. For an A/C system to work, the refrigerant must cycle from liquid to a gas. If everything is too compressed, this process will not be able to function properly if at all. "More is better" does not apply here once your factory capacity has been reached. One more thing. Use caution with those cans that claim "leak sealant". That can plug up the tiny metering device in the system used to convert a gas into a liquid. Enjoy the summer weather. 😎

I have A/C again, just as simple as video showed. I only made one mistake at the beginning,,,,,, I missed turning on the A/C, as I only turned on the fans and lowered the temperature scale but missed the A/C Button. However, once I re-did it with the A/C on (Light), it worked, and Wala cold air, but it did take me about 20 to 30 minutes. It also helps to have the gloves on as when the transfer of the liquid is taking place the container gets cold 🥶 a bit.

Isn't there something about ambient temperature that has to be figured in? Also, is there any PAG oil in the ACP 100V can ? I installed a new AC compressor, accumulator with hose assembly, and orifice tube. I put 3 oz. of PAG 46 oil into the compressor, but I still need another 3.6 oz. of PAG 46 oil that's supposed to be added to the accumulator, but the hose is not detachable, so I have to put it in through the low pressure side with the refrigerant. I'm going to be charging my system soon, and I'd like to know everything before starting the job.

@@CeejayClarkWhat they didn't tell you in the video is that you should always pull a vacuum of the old refrigerant, which is completely removing the old freon before installing the new & making sure there are no leaks. If the AC worked before, then it's most likely holding refrigerant. Also, you most likely don't have the proper equipment for that procedure so you should most definitely take your car to an auto mechanic & have them pull a vacuum of the old refrigerant, then afterwards recharge the AC system with the AC pro. If your car is newer, then it's probably ok just simply topping it off, but if it's 5 or more years old, then a vacuum must be performed to remove the old freon & possible residual moisture in the lines that can cause corrosion. Do it right, then you don't have to worry..

Go on to the Internet and look up the capacity of your system. You want to know exactly how many pounds of freon it takes to fill the system. You can also add can by can till you get the proper amount in the system. Just use the same gauge that you use on the first can. This is an older post so you probably already have your system taken care.

Super helpful video! Im such an idiot but after getting direction its working great now. (I didn't know the car needed to be running and the AC on... Plus I had not removed the safety cap on the can so nothing was coming out) Thank god cause it was near 100 degrees in Scottsdale today!

Yes, engine on with A/C on max cool or you'll get the wrong pressure reading. Also need to remove the plastic shipping disk. Glad you figured things out and got things going!

So last year I got in the car to take my son to work, and the AC was running kinda warm and The AC light was flashing red. I bought some of this and came to KZfaq for directions. The can isn't that great with the directions. Anyway, I put it on and squeezed the trigger, and it said I need to service my ac. For some reason, it just started working after that and it ran the whole summer. Not sure if there was an error with the gauge and that little squeeze was enough to fill some up, but my ac worked until I didn't need it anymore. I kinda anticipated the same problem this year and I was right. Just went and put some in and it seems to be fine now. I couldn't find the blue L cap, though, must have forgotten to put it back on last time.

Have the digital guage AC pro. Followed the steps laid out here but every 10 seconds or so it drops to 17 then up to 40-43. I read that it is the AC clutch kicking off and on due to low refrigerant. Does it sound accurate to continue to fill it, until clutch stays engaged?

I have been told my 1991 Nissan 240SX requires Freon, and cannot use Synthetic R-134a. Apparently certain year cars require a special adapter. Excellent video by the way.

Yes, vehicles made before 1994 may have used R-12, which is a different gas and has different fittings. In order to use one of our products you'd need to buy a retrofit kit to change out the fittings.

Used it on my 98 Kouki and it worked perfect. Maybe earlier models used a different gas

Wow, I haven't felt cold air from my Honda Odyssey for a long time. So far so good. Should I take the hose off to store and put the plastic piece back on the tip? Or just store it with the hose on?
@Acprocold
@Acprocold 3 жыл бұрын
You can store with the gauge left on the can. No need to keep the plastic shipping disk once the gauge is connected.

@@Acprocold Thanks for your reply. It's been about 3 hours and it's cooler than before. But then the very cold air started really coming in and it felt great! Any idea what might have happened?

Great Product, after use do you store the can with the Guage attached?
@Acprocold
@Acprocold Жыл бұрын
You can store either with the gauge attached or not. The can has a self-sealing valve so no gas will leak out if you disconnect.

Thank for your video, it was at the bottom green, I added between 10-15 secons and it went to 3/4 in the green and that made a difference. Bottom line it works!

I live in Houston Texas and summer temperatures are killing me. Lol I bought your product and the problem I’m having is that I can’t seem to be able to connect the gauge hose to the low port. I tried it at the store where they have an area to show you how to connect it. I can’t do it to the car. I have a 2018 Honda Civic. Have you had this issue? Thanks
@Acprocold
@Acprocold Жыл бұрын
The reason you can't connect is because your vehicle uses a different gas called R-1234yf. It's a new gas that's environmentally-friendly. You can learn more about it here kzfaq.info/get/bejne/edmip9R8ydPQf6M.html
