I know it’s coming from a nice thought but we need to stop blurring the lines of professionalism and romanticism among the opposite sex. Just because Breeny and Stephan are single and held a decent conversation doesn’t mean they’re meant to be. It can just mean they have good chemistry as fellow KZfaqrs and nothing else. We need to normalize men and women working together without making it into a ‘thing’. It’s weird. (This is based on comments made earlier)

Ladies, the book he’s talking about at 50:17 is called, “why men marry some women and not others”. I read it as a teenager and used it to get married. It’s brilliant, it naturally embodies the masculine (author) and the feminine (women interviewed). Update: Wow thank for all the likes. Still happily married after 9 years, two kids and everything life throws at you. Highly recommend the book to identify men not aligned to the life you want.

Love the conversation. It's important to have discernment. I do think it's hard for black women specifically to walk in feminine energy, I do like dressing well etc. but I notice that we often have to come with different energy to be respected in the workplace, to not be approached inappropriately etc. So it's hard to distinguish where we can freely be feminine. Cause we're often fighting to be respected.

"You can get involved with someone who is spiritually completely out of whack". 10 minutes in and he hit the nail right on the head with my current situation. I'm in love with someone who is spiritually out of whackl, but I fell in love with who he is. I consider him my best friend because that's how we are; we have a deep connection beyond physical attraction. We're both the first people either of us have ever been in love with so the bond is strong. But he's not right for me and I have to let him go. It's really painful but I need to heed to God's voice because he warned me in a dream of the consequence of continuing this with him.

@@jesterbons1558 Exactly. I really hate when men lie to these women. This dude had the audacity to say that the woman is great and the man may not be up to par; lies. I was just browsing through a dating app and honestly I only about 5% of women with profiles I’d take seriously. Lots of baby mama’s; even with kids that are less than a year old. Lots of overweight women in there early 20s; no excuse for that if you don’t have kids. Lots of tattoos and nose rings. Lots of boss ladies running credit repair or MLM program, or some foolishness; you are not a boss without employees. That’s just delusions of grandeur. All the profiles I saw was women saying what the want, not what they offer. Imagine doing that in a job interview.

You are right. Think that childcare workers spend at least 8 hours with dozens of kids and they have to manage them without spanking/popping/hitting, whatever parents do at home. Childcare workers spend more time with a child than the actual parents and their job is actually raise them. The kids are their jobs, not their property, not their personal punching bags. Many parents have no clue of what they are doing. I worked with children abroad and parents were shocked on how me (without speaking the language) was able to make the kids sit quiet or do some task. Simply, because I didn't allow them to cross the boundary the first time they've tried, they learned that wouldnt work with me. Parents allow their kids to cross boundaries over and over because "awe their just babies. It's fine" and then lose control when they realize they've lost control.

@@Sarablueunicorn totally get what you’re saying, but for me, there’s more to child raising than just discipling them. Yes a childcare worker may be able to advise the best route to discipline & the like due to concentration of exposure, however one cannot look at child raring from an isolated perspective. Could you as a childcare worker tell me how to keep my emotions in check while bearing the load of financially supporting a family? Being financially responsible (along with my mate) for another human being’s entire existence for 18+ years? How to keep my marriage healthy so that it fosters a healthy environment to raise that child? How to nourish my body so that I am physically able to serve my children without breaking down, & also have the knowledge of feeding my children nutritious foods to keep them healthy? Very basic examples, but I find that unless you have lived the true reality of a something, the advice you give must be taken with a pinch of salt. Notice that this guy said he loves to work & doesn’t really notice the loneliness. This is relationship advice from a pragmatic, theoretical perspective without actual, human love added to the equation. Take this advice into the real world & it falls apart.

Goodness, everything Stephan said about his experience is TRUEEEE!!!! It's difficult for me because it is the same for me. I always have dudes who swear up and down they want me and want to marry me etc but they also do and say some really horrible things that derail you spiritually. You have to find someone who understands these real spiritual battles who would be able to stand in the gap for you and with you. I was almost in tears hearing him say this because I get teased about it as well, that something must be wrong with me lmao. I know I cannot yoke myself to someone who does not have spiritual insight and submission to Christ. I just ended my almost two year relationship for this reason, going through all these spiritual attacks and my not being present romantically and his inability to really understand and pray with me through it all. When a man is not truly submitted to God it is always the most dangerous risk you take for yourself and your future.

My mind , body and sprite just feels better at ease . I don’t stress over things like I did before, I let God handle it and he does everytime. Some one has to experience some things in life and be brought back from it to actually believe in God. Like Steven said some one watching this might say “ all that is bs” but in a year or month or week later something will get them to change their way of thinking. I say I needed to hear this because I was very close to hanging out with some individuals because I started to feel lonely but NO !

I'm in the same boat as you. I have been avoiding all these relationship videos. I only watch some because they come up on my feed, and if the topic looks interesting. But otherwise, I'm over them too just because I've chosen to remain single.

@@ughnotuagainughnotuagain4275 Breeny did a great job asking him the right questions and getting direct answers. Neither were combative or attempted to point blame they both recognize the issues on either side and just wanted to call it what it is. I like the very personal questions she asked and he seemed to give legit honest answers. It's a good watch however I don't think more is needed seems like women/men need to focus on themselves🤷🏾‍♀️

dang and I thought I was the only one doing this! Avoiding relationship vids and advice lately because so many of them are draining, tiring, and not even true. I tried to do what they said, but all I got, in the end, was pain and heartbreaks. I guess I'm not alone. I'm done listening to so many of them tho.

@@theodosad.3135 very well said. It seems like that's where things have come to. Men and women need to just take a step back and focus on themselves, and do a real thorough reset of their thoughts and morals. After that, then maybe they can date, if not, then it's just becoming a losing battle!🤷🏾‍♀️

If you have not listened to Breeny’s interview with TONY GASKINS it’s a must listen it pulls the covers off and shines light 💡 to the darkness… GOD bless Tony who was not afraid to tell the truth in a culture where truth is suppressed often rejected

Straight dropping 💎‘s this conversation taught me a whole lot about myself and that is I got work to do on many aspects to attract what I want . He was talking straight facts and it was like a mirror held up to my face why I’m attracting the type of men I don’t like and why I’m not attracting the men I do like. Ladies perk your ears up it may be hard for many to swallow but come open and really search and check yourself and you’ll see he “called a lot of us out “ . Instead of getting defensive let us look introspective and check ourselves so we can be better so we then can attract better mates. Stephan thank you for keeping it 💯 for both the men and the women. There’s work to be done on both ends . Breeny thank you for the amazing content and the different guests that bring their own perspective whether we agree with them or not it’s still many things to be learned.

That’s exactly right trust in god and whatever he has planned for you is right. @Breeny Lee, The main problem is everyone is looking for perfection in a mate. There is no perfect person. We need to learn to give and receive, we need to learn to negotiate around imperfection. Most people in relationships negotiate the good and the bad in their mate. Single people who are " chronically single" like Stephen have not learned to negotiate through normal people who are not perfect. I know you had a difficult relationship recently. I know he wasn't perfect but trust me no one is perfect. If you want a mate please be ready to negotiate imperfections. Just my 2 cents.

I was looking for that comment!! I love Stephan but he's very idealistic. Even if you find that person who is great today, that person may change and make you even question if you made the right choice at the begining. The vast majority of great relationship implies hard work and being able to accept that nothing is perfect. Even in agape love, 1 Cor. 13: you need to love your mate despise a lot. Of course, seek compatibility, being on the same page regarding your core value, being respect, feeling loved and being able to reciprocated that love. The rest is adaptation and a lot of forgiveness... (I'm not saying that anyone should settle, I'm just saying that the more you look for an ideal partner/dynamic/relationship, the more likely you might be disappointed - sooner or later!
