I FINALLY DID IT!!! I have dreamed for years of thrifting the entire Oregon Coast, hunting for treasures at thrift stores, junk sales and antique shops! Some dreams are worth waiting for 😊 I'm so thrilled to share my road trip adventure with all of you!
Today in Episode 5 we are in the towns of Coos Bay & Bandon, Oregon before making our way all the way to the California border! We don't stop there.... I can't complete this series without showing you the beautiful Redwoods National Forest 🌲 Come check out the Oregon's small beach towns with me and let's hit up all the vintage shops, thrift stores, and of course #goodwill! 💃

Haha tell your hubby I say we ARE friends 😄 I’m sure we will be if we meet 😘 In 2006 I went broke to go with my older brother to Hawaii for a music concert and to meet up with his online “friends” that he had met in chat groups in the 90s. I was really skeptical… but it was like seeing my brother with “his people” 😄 I was blown away by the connections they had formed over years online. The coolest group of humans I’d ever met. The beauty of the internet is that we can now find people around the world that we have so much in common with. How cool is that 😄

Best part of this post, for me, was the story about the couple you met and shared dinner with in Coos Bay. It brought tears to my eyes. I believe with all my heart things happen for a reason as has been the case in my own life. A family tragedy/loss taught me lessons of forgiveness and love which I never would have thought possible at the time of the loss. Your thrift finds are fun to see, but it is your soul/spirit which keeps me watching. Thank you for sharing a bit of you with us.

Yes, please! More travel based blogs. The redwoods are where my husband and I spent part of our honeymoon. The Oregon coast and the redwoods will always have a special place in my heart. My husband passed in 2015, but your video brought back many fond memories.

A big THANK YOU for taking us with you on this journey. I am bed bound and I have a girl friend I went to high school with in Bend Oregon. She tells me how beautiful it is and I have tried to imagine but you made it all come true. I can’t travel anymore so this trip of yours was so special to me. There are no words to tell you how grateful I am that you took us with you. I am 73 years young and I could not imagine how beautiful the state of Oregon is. I live in Arizona and it’s beautiful but I must say Oregon is exquisite. I’m going to watch this again. Many thanks from all of us who can’t make this trip dreams can come true. ❤️❤️

Laura, I haven't read all 1000 comments (awesome btw!) So I apologize if this was already mentioned. I would lovingly encourage you to let go of the hoarding jokes. Hoarding is a diagnosible mental health disorder, almost always associated with trauma. As a maximalist collector myself I used to make those jokes about myself, but since working with many people who hoard in my social service job, I've come to see the issue in a different light. Thanks for sharing your wonderful trip and all the great scores!

I believe it too and I’m seeing it more everyday! 14:51 fabric hanging in the wall is very common in Japan. It's Japanese painted fabric. You can see that designs in tourist shops all over Japan because that's Japanese folklore. The volcano in the background is Mt. Fuji.

The redwoods is my sister and I most favorite trip. How did we miss all the new stuff they have there. I’m going back soon. Ive been to Hilton head and to Washington state. You would love the west. The ocean is only for looking at there but nothing beats gulf shores Alabama if you wanna get in the water!!!

Sadly, the owner of Little Italy passed away a couple months ago and it's now permanently closed. So happy you stopped at Leaf's! This has been so much fun for me to see you go to all the places where I routinely shop. There's a Fat Cat antique store in North Bend that often has good stuff.

When I first got married we were supposed to move to the Coast Guard base in Astoria. I was so excited when I contacted your local tourist information and started to receive pamphlets in. Then the person who was supposed to move on decided to stay. We never got to go there. We did go to Novato CA but still a far cry from where you are. Thank you and I look forward to more exciting videos!!!

I agree with all the comments! You are such a great personality and when your picture popped up on my list of KZfaq videos, I stopped in the middle of another video to watch YOURS!! You are so lucky to be living in and near such magnificent and scenic places. It is a fabulous experience for all of us to be able to accompany you. Thank you so much! The Lomonosov Russian porcelain figurines are top notch. They have an amazing tiger figurine you'd love. The woolly mammoths are particularly rare. You could have doubled your money on that one, enjoying it for awhile before it sold.

My son and his family live in Portland. I can no longer visit as I'm on oxygen at night along with my c-pap. The c-pap is portable but the oxygen machine isn't. This journey is what they would show me if I were still able. So, of course I loved it.
