This bishop is late to the show. Many mainstream Christian pastors have been calling out Joel Olsteen for years. I left the Roman church years ago and my faith in Christ has grown amazingly. There is a reason why so many Protestant churches are referred to as reformed. More scripture and less tradition has served me well as I follow Christ more. I do not worship my church anymore. Everything you need to know about God is found directly in scripture, unfiltered by 2000 years of accreted traditions. Go serve your King alone. Solo Scriptura

@@johnsteichen5239 Pleased to hear it paid off well for you. Not for me... I left the protestant church 35 years ago, converted yo Catholicism as come to know God as an absolute loving God. The 7 sacraments are from the beginning of the Church like in the Bible, and by them as sacraments, Jesus gives us more grace. To protestant churches are too easy and again, there is a split in the Dutch Reformed church in South Africa...no one on earth in authority of the church to protect the teachings of Jesus Christ and to help them to interpreted the Bible correctly. The sacrament of Holy Communion is the HEART BEAT of our Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church... with each and every Mass... as Jesus instructed. Blessings to you.

Bishop Barron has not said anything new. NON-catholic Christians have thoroughly & publicly addressed the “prosperity gospel” long ago.

The more material possessions you have the more you are concerned about them and the more you try to hold on to them. Ultimately, instead of you owning them they own you.

@@JWellsUp I went to church for God’s love and fellowship with others. I was never searching for more wealth. I accidentally came across this church when I moved. I was ok with my finances being status quo. The loss of money eventually made me realize how much the church had indoctrinated me when the words people were saying affected me. And I felt the shame/worthless because somebody told me I was stealing money from God by not tithing. But I could barely pay for food for my son. I stopped going to any church because of the shame/ worthless feeling I felt. My finances stabilized. But I still felt unworthy of God’s love. When I read, Matthew 23:23 it set me free from that unkind doctrine.

Tithing was meant to help poor people and widows etc not keep these guys in fancy clothes, private planes etc.

I know someone that likes him she told me with proud , yes people living pay check to pay check are the mainstream followers ☹️

The first time that I seen osteen preaching in front of that big globe I thought about some scripture in Revalation's. Unfortunately I can not remember exactly what was written down. What Bishop Barron omitted from his discourse is the fact that Job, a man of righteousness, was so abundantly blessed by God that he was the wealthiest man in his region, possessing an extraordinary amount of wealth and assets. Furthermore, following his trials, God compensated Job with double the amount he had lost in terms of offspring, wealth, and possessions. It appears that God does not hesitate to bestow people with affluence and prosperity.

Joel Osteen never took the vow of poverty. He is not a Catholic priest. Even a Catholic priest does not take the vow of poverty. Does he live over the top lavish? Yes! yes i agree. Often a catholic preist will live in poverty with bare minimum, loving the Lord and serving his people. There are some good ones out there. God bless them. And then there are some that live like Joel Osteen, or worse. Let God deal with them. Hold onto the good and uphold them. Well the priest at our old church got convicted of fraud he went to prison. But at least nobody was ok with it. I hope he has repented, the church closed down a few years after that he caused a lot of damage/ trust issues.

Bishop Barron recently followed a long line of non-catholic Christians who spoke about Osteen & others by citing Scripture for both Error and Correction YEARS ago.

As children of God, His favor is on us at all times, whether He allows us to see it now, later or never. Like Theresa of the Little Jesus said, we are like babies in the arms of God. He showers us with love, and favors, and sometimes He allows us to go through difficult things that we cannot understand with our babies mind. One thing is sure: God loves us so much that He sacrificed His most precious Son for us. For the material things He said not to worry because The One that feeds the birds cannot forget us. Just Trust Him, the Lord. Read the scriptures. His promise is real. It is just that sometimes we don't understand it or we misinterpret it. I pray that God and Mother Mary heal your heart.

CHRIST is Trustworthy. HE is the one who warned about Deception among “religious leaders”. ⚠️ WARNING are IN Scripture and so is the Invitation to Salvation.
