My 17 yr old son use to listen too this alot after he heard me listening to it alot. That he use to sing it in the shower every other night. May 12,2018 he was murdered behind jealousy of his abilities in sports. Tomorrow makes 6 myths I'm lost but I still believe A change gonna come. I have 2 more boys to be strong for

White society does not understand the meaning of this Sam Cooke classic. It takes people with a soul to feel the deep pain in this song, and white America in particular has not demonstrated that it has one. The impetus for this music was the condition created by white supremacy and its hatred. Sam Cooke's version, in my opinion, is one of the greatest songs ever recorded.
