I made cake in the microwave once. It was one of Barry's recipes. Made me feel a lot better when I moved into a new flat that said it was supposed to have a cooker, and holy crap no cooker... Also 2 bed not 3. Also rotten windows and also overcharging massively for the area. But I can make half-decent chocolate cake in the microwave :)

Remote Control Pass It On! Like PIO, you each take 10 minutes but instead of using that 10 minutes to cook, you're using that 10 minutes to guide the person. So for example, Ben guides Barry for the first 10 mins, then Jamie guides him for the next 10, then Mike for the next 10, and James for the final 10.

no, it should be a battle. one normal per chef (third normal is judge) BUT the normal holding the shocker is the one on the other team. A video idea that can be done both like this video and in the studio: Two normals and one chef. One normal is cooking, one normal has the recipe and the chef has a bowl filled with suggestions on how the normal is going to read. The recipe steps are covered so that the normal can't cheat and read ahead. The normal can only read the recipe step once so the other normal who is cooking has to pay attention and remember everything. For example: Barry is cooking, Jamie reads the recipe and Ben picks from the bowl. Jamie can read the first step like normal, for step two, Ben draws a paper/card that Jamie has to read the step while spinning around. For step three, Jamie has to read from a distance. For step four, Jamie has to read while the recipe is upside down. And so it continues until the recipe is done. I feel like this could be pretty challenging for the guys and very entertaining for us! Also, finally the guys know how we feel watching all of their amazing food and not being able to smell or taste it!

What a great way to keep the Sorted spirit alive. At your core you blokes are still about mates trying to help each other learn. Well done! And well done editing, it looks super put together even with the new limitations.

I have an idea for the post-lockdown video! It's PiO and Remote control mixed together. You set the order and first person starts a dish. Then, after maybe 10 or even 5 minutes, second person comes in and takes over but it's guided by the first one. Say, Ben starts, cooks for a bit, then Mike comes in, Ben is not allowed to touch anything in the kitchen, but he can relay to Mike whatever he feels is important: what to do, what's the dish, next steps and so on. After 5/10 minutes Ben gets out completely, Mike steps to the side and Jamie comes in to cook. Mike can guide him, just like Ben did. And so on, you get the idea, hopefully :) The whole deal is that while they can talk to each other, they still can't plan much under pressure, and have to be very good at communicating. Like, some people can be bossy (looking at you Ben 😆) and try to use the 'together' time to remote control next person, instead of telling than what the dish is and what it will need. Others might be "flappy" ;) and pretty much leave the next person on their own without developing next steps for them. I hope I made myself clear 😂

Really nice. I'm seeing a lot of low-quality video conferences these days though, so why doesn't evryone record there clean video instead of taking the partly distorted one, which mike sees?
@SanAndreas0611
@SanAndreas0611 4 жыл бұрын
Agreed... it would have been nice if James could have recorded himself in good quality and sent to whomever did the editing so we could have had him in decent quality once the conferencing situation had been set up.
@KyteM
@KyteM 4 жыл бұрын
Because you can't record clean video while you're using the same thing to do the actual call, and while Mike clearly has additional recording equipment at home I doubt James does.

Kyte I’m sure sorted is a big enough outfit to order all the guys a camera or two and a couple of joby gorrilapods or ‘c’ stands for a nice versatile setup they could stand next to their phone/laptop to cheat the shot.

"Comté AOP" The AOP means "appellation d'origine protégée" which basically means they won't tell you exactly where in France the cheese is from, you know, to protect the cheese farmers 😂 (just kidding, it means the cheese was made in the same region that the milk comes from, or something like that)

I think it means that they can only use that name if the product was produced in a certain region - e.g. Champagne
