In this short film, Michelin Star Chef, Matthew Accarrino draws a parallel between his hectic and successful life as a restaurant owner/chef and his ambitious pursuits on the bike. He shares how both of these experiences have relied on dedication, commitment, repetition, reflection, and patience. He recalls his aspirations as a child and dreams of becoming a pro cyclist, which came to an abrupt halt after an accident that left him questioning whether he would ever walk again. His triumphant return to cycling becomes his journey to find himself again - outside of being a renowned Chef. Follow along as he recounts the physical and mental demands of running a restaurant that are mirrored by elements of cycling.

Did not see that coming at all. Just like the rogue wave. Powerful story and one tenacious person. Would love to taste his creations. Hopefully next time I return to that beautiful city by the bay which was home for me. Thanks for sharing.

One year at our teams training camp Matt came out and ripped our legs off for 5 hours then before we even got changed he was in his chefs gear making the whole team dinner. What a legend

I so hope that Chef and Rider Matt knows how he enhances the lives of so many - due to his talent, depth of spirit, honesty and integrity. I can only sing "What a Man, What a Man, What a Man, What. a Mighty Good man". Yeah- that's who he is!!
