@@djbof - That may be true for some, but I was determined to find a Christ centered, Bible based church ( not a religion) that had no problem with transparency or questioning their teachings! It’s possible to find Jesus after leaving a cult! When I left the JW’s, I was determined not to let watchtower take my faith.. they had taken EVERYTHING else! They love it when we lose our faith. I was part of the JWs from age 10-15 with my mum in NZ. I remember attending a meeting once at Easter and having communion passed around and no one took it. There was a real sense of almost deluded self righteousness about everyone as they let the elements pass by, considering themselves unworthy to partake. At the time I believed it all, but praise God at 16 I found Jesus, and now consider it a privilege to take part in communion.

The blood of beast couldn't eternally remove sin permanently, or perpetually. When I was a missionary in Costa Rica I saw many JW's. God put it on my heart to reach out to them. Unfortunately many Christians choose not to open the door when they knock on it. I saw it as an opportunity to reach out to them. I had already been studying on different cults, but especially the Jehovah's Witnesses. I listened to Walter Martin a lot and even have his book Kingdom of the Cults. One of the first things he said that stuck with me was, when speaking to a JW, is to NEVER start out telling them that you will prove to them that JESUS is God. If you do, you will lose them and they will not listen to you no matter what you say. They will shut you down. He also encouraged to not use their "bible". I got to a point where I was able to use their own material to point them in the right direction. But if you are not familiar with them, it is best not to. What I would do was allow them to speak and share everything they wanted to. I already knew what they were going to say and the verses they would use. I never interrupted them, but when they finished that's when I would start to share.. Many times we would sit and talk for 3 hours. I saw them as a mission field that came to me and took advantage of it. I got to a point where, one time, I went to get my hair cut, the barber and I started talking about things happening in the world, but based on his wording I instantly knew he was a JW. I asked him if he was a JW and he was shocked. There are many other stories I could share, but I probably have shared way too much for people to want to continue reading this long post. They need JESUS just as much as we needed Him when we were lost in sin.

@justinasbury4956 Satan hates Jehovah, so he incites lies with ex JWs he uses them to spread lies and hateful coments. Most Jehovahs Witnesses actually adhere and practice true bible truths. Most religions are long tainted by pagan practice as an example symbols and vary pagan holidays, and telling you Jesus is God is all Satan's lies. Anyhow, most JW s believe in the resurrection on earth where they will inherit forever because there actually are scripture to back this up. They believe that partakers are 144000 and they will reign with God in heaven. The 144000 are the only ones that partake in wine and bread. So all of them believe in a Godly Hope and forever living the glory of Jesus Christ, their King lord and savior, and the God of the universe JEHOVAH the ALMIGHTY!

When I left I thought I was going to hell. But God!! He left the 99 to find me. I am so thankful to be born again through Christ Jesus who died for our sins and provided the way to know and be close to God. I never thought about that before how they celebrate the memorial of His death and don’t acknowledge that He is alive sitting next to God the Father in Heaven. God prepares hearts and calls those who are His to Him. He removes veils and helps us to see. Abba Father thank You for opening my eyes. I am a ex elder who disassociated. The watchtower has changed the Bible to fit their belief system, for instance in many passages In the NWT Bible it refers to Jesus as “other”. Colossians 1:16 in the ESV says Jesus created all things,in the NWT it says Jesus created all “other” things. Now remember while Charles Russell (founder) was alive he always taught Jesus was god and taught about the union between the father, son and Holy Spirit. When he died oct 31 1915 judge Rutherford did not wait long until completely changing their belief system. Rutherford then said Jesus was created,Jesus is not god and Christmas is a pagan holiday. See the hypocrisy? Now the members of the organization listen to 9 men in New York called the gov body. If the members don’t agree with the gov body then the gov body says they don’t agree with god… hypocrisy at its finest. May the mighty god Jesus save their souls and feel pity for them when his returns.

@@kevinerose What do Jehovah’s Witnesses believe? Close scrutiny of their doctrinal position on such subjects as the deity of Christ, salvation, the Trinity, the Holy Spirit, and the atonement shows beyond a doubt that they do not hold to orthodox Christian positions on these subjects. Jehovah’s Witnesses believe Jesus is Michael the archangel, the highest created being. This contradicts many passages of Scripture that clearly declare Jesus to be God (John 1:1, 14; 8:58; 10:30). Jehovah’s Witnesses believe salvation is obtained by a combination of faith, good works, and obedience. This contradicts Scripture, which declares salvation to be received by grace through faith (John 3:16; Ephesians 2:8-9; Titus 3:5). Jehovah’s Witnesses reject the doctrine of the Trinity, believing Jesus to be a created being and the Holy Spirit to essentially be the inanimate power of God. Jehovah’s Witnesses reject the concept of Christ’s substitutionary atonement and instead hold to a ransom theory, that Jesus’ death was a ransom payment for Adam’s sin. How do the Jehovah’s Witnesses justify these unbiblical doctrines? First, they claim that the church has corrupted the Bible over the centuries; thus, they have re-translated the Bible to reflect their unique doctrines-the result is the New World Translation. The New World Translation has gone through numerous editions, as the Jehovah’s Witnesses discover more and more passages of Scripture that contradict their doctrines. The Watchtower bases its beliefs and doctrines on the original and expanded teachings of Charles Taze Russell, Judge Joseph Franklin Rutherford, and their successors. The governing body of the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society claims sole authority to interpret Scripture. In other words, what the governing body says concerning any scriptural passage is viewed as the last word, and independent thinking is strongly discouraged. This is in direct opposition to Paul’s admonition to Timothy (and to us as well) to study to be approved by God, so that we need not be ashamed as we correctly handle the Word of God (2 Timothy 2:15). God’s children are to be like the Berean Christians, who searched the Scriptures daily to see if the things they were being taught lined up with the Word (Acts 17:11). There is probably no religious group that is more faithful than the Jehovah’s Witnesses at spreading their message. Unfortunately, the message is full of distortions, deceptions, and false doctrine. May God open the eyes of the Jehovah’s Witnesses to the truth of the gospel and the true teaching of God’s Word.

@@jeffnoble9757 First, the NWT mistranslates the Greek Scriptures in order to expunge the deity of Jesus Christ. Against all credible scholarship, In the NWT translation, Jesus, the eternal Word of God, is downgraded from God to “a” god in John 1. Since the release of the NT translation in 1950, this version has been criticized for changing the meaning and words of the text to fit JW doctrine. A prime example is John 1:1. Both the ESV and NIV translate that verse as, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” The NWT version mistranslates the passage as “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was a god.” The addition of the indefinite article “a” is added to avoid the conclusion that Jesus is God. This is clearly changing the written Word of God to fit the organization’s doctrine - that Jesus is not the eternal Word God “made flesh” (John 1:14). Jesus is demoted from the Creator of all things to a mere creature who created all other things in Colossians 1. According to the translation committee of the Watchtower Society, as noted above, Jesus was created by God as the archangel Michael, during his earthly sojourn was merely human, and after his crucifixion was recreated an immaterial spirit creature. Christianity has always maintained from the beginning that Jesus is “fully God and full man”. While Jesus never directly says, “I am God” in the Scriptures, He makes it very clear to those around Him, especially the Pharisees and Sadducees, that He is God. John 10:30 says, “I and the Father are one.” Jesus was claiming deity, and, interestingly enough, He did not deny that He was God. Another example is John 20:28, when Thomas says, “My Lord and my God!” Again, Jesus does not correct Him by saying that He is not God. There are many other examples one can find in the Scriptures regarding Jesus’ rightful place in heaven. John 10:38 “...the Father is in Me, and I in Him.” The Father and Jesus share the same divine nature. John 8:58: “Most assuredly I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM”. Here Jesus is expressing His eternal nature -that before Abraham was born, He was already existing. In fact, here Jesus uses the exact same expression that God spoke to Moses out of the burning bush.

I had a girlfriend when I was young that was raised in the JW church (she was inactive/disassociated and I was not saved at the time). As Easter approached, I asked her if she wanted to join me at a Easter passion play at the church that I had gone to and that my mom was still a member-- an Assemblies of God church. I'll never forget the look of shock and revulsion on her face. She flat out said no. Even though she had not been an active JW for years, the group's decrees that were drilled into her head still strongly influenced her. Understand that in the JW church, it is unacceptable to have anything to do with any other church. Just know that if you ever have the opportunity to interact with a JW, thinking that you'll just invite them to your church, your invitation will not be received well.

I resigned by letter from the JW religion in January. Did I know Jesus? Well, Jesus directed us to pray to Heavenly Father. My prayers were answered, so He was listening. I felt very close to God. So the reason I am not an ex JW activist is because Heavenly Father blesses those that love Him and reflect His qualities, whatever religion they are in. All religions are man made with pharisee type rules. The refreshment and light load Jesus promised comes when we worship God "in Spirit and Truth", as he explained to the Samaritan woman at the well. I have felt such freedom since January - it is a beautiful thing and decades of depression left me overnight. Amen and Amen.

There is certain terminology they drill into people that is simply not common reference in Christian circles. Jesus is the ONLY way to heaven! Read a King James Bible. Start in John but read the entire New Testament. Read it very slowly and while you’re reading the words, just talk to the Lord, (Jesus) and ask Him for discernment ask Him to reveal the deeper meaning of what you are reading. Be Blessed!

Jesus is eternal , the word of God -Hebrews 1:3 . The word expresses and makes known what is unseen. So the Son is revealing the Father to us in physical reality. Also, God is love. He exists in a self-sustaining relationship, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Colossians 1:16 is great, Jesus created all things that are in heaven and earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. He left, and then went back to his church days later criticizing all the things he saw. Well, I wouldn't want to ask him to come to my home and have a meal with my family. I imagine that he would tell others how bad the food was snd that the hosts at the party over dressed. He probably would tell others that the prayer said over the meal was not right. He also might say that people were looking at him. Delusional! What he really is foing here is bringing attention to himself. Patting himself on the back. "Look at me! I'm perfect!" This is really an "eye opener" for many. That you can actually sit in their meetings, listening to their lies, and not being effected in any way at all. Because of the Power of the Truth in you the lies has no effect on you. God really gives you a Powerful Witness in what you are doing. They might get to the point in being so intimidated by you that they will ask you to leave. That happened to Me in my Hometown with all the organizations there. Some even got court orders against Me to stay 500 meters away when they have meetings. They know that even seeing Me while they are on their way to church will disturb them for the whole duration of their meeting. Just remember what Jesus said when they ask you to leave. They are taking your cloke and you have to give the garment too. Meaning leaving in Love of Grace to them. Telling them you Forgive them and will from now on Forgive them "outside of their building" to do the 70 x 7 Forgiveness to them always. Just as you have done while having been inside and in their presence. Only the meetings changed and not the Power of Forgiveness in Grace. And then they enter your Grace and exist in your Grace for ever. Outside of their building. Or until they confess. But pride will keep them in your Grace. Specially those in charge. I am walking in Grace now already 24 years in my hometown with the organizations who are "persecuting Me" in having chased Me away. It is Really a Huge "Joyful" Life you enter then. Where your "Joy" and their disgrace when you meet in meetings of 2 and 3 will be their Discipline from the Living God for ever. Some change and some never do. Their choice. But you learn the Power to Love your enemies in Living it. God's Love manifesting in you against their hatred is then your Power to change them. Luke 6: 22 Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man’s sake. 23 Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward is great in heaven: for in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets.

As you can see from the comments, many of us have left the JW organization. When I left in the 70s, many committed suicide because they still believed it was "the truth" but just couldn't stay in the organization. Thank goodness this doesn't seem to be the case any more. On the other hand I believe the Holy Spirit led me out and therefore I knew it was not the truth, but that I had been brainwashed. When I was a witness in the 70s, we were taught that 144,000 would be in heaven and the rest of us would be on earth, so it's not a new theology. Well, they got part of it right. We are in heaven with Jesus until the New Jerusalem comes down to earth in Revelation and I believe that's where we will spend eternity in our resurrected bodies, on earth. I understand that others may not agree, but thank goodness we don't need to agree with each other about everything, except for the life, death and resurrection of Christ; that is a deal breaker. We definitely need to pray for them because there are some very wonderful people in the JWs, just as there are in all faiths. God Bless.

No, it's not. He said,'Come as you are' While He meant come regardless of your sins, and He will clean you up, I believe He also meant, it doesn't matter if you don't have nice clothes. Come anyway. If dressing up nice were the criteria, then how would the poor and jobless, etc., get the help that they need?? (whether spiritual or material, or physical). He wants us to come with our heartfelt desire to know Him. He does all the rest in time. Would you throw out the vagrant from your church???

If you are poor and don't have nice clothes that's one thing. Just do the best you can. But there are Christians that go to church as though they are going to the movies or a ball game. I visited a church and there were men wearing caps and one of them even spoke. Try that in a court of law before a judge and see what happens. Christians are not taking the Lord's House seriously. I don't know what's wrong with the pastors in some of these churches. I noticed that especially in full gospel or characteristics churches. I would never see these things years ago. But maybe this is some of what seeker sensitive means. It's hard to find a good biblical church in the times we live in. Thanks for hearing me.

Hi, from a JW. Let's give a response as we go: 1- 1:35 - Of course Jesus was resurrected, and that's what gives us hope. But we "keep doing this in remembrance of him" 1 Corinthians 11:24, comemorating the last supper before his sacrifice. 2- 3:00 - Yeah, it can make peopl feel self-conscious to go somewhere when everyone else is more formal. But you're not going to offend anyone as long as there's nothing specifically inappropriate showing. It would also generally make people feel very uncomfortable bringing any iconography or religious symbols, as we consider any religious symbols to be idolatry. No one would get violent or anything, but we'd find that disrespectful. But guests are welcome any time, and there's specifically extra outreach for the memorial, so "new people" is not only expected, but hoped for. Even if you have absolutely no intention "to convert" or anything... as long as you're respectful and not disruptive, you're welcome to come study. Your experience of being sent to the front is a little inappropriate though... he should have let you sit wherever you were most comfortable. I mean, the front isn't "for elders," so you'd be welcome to sit there, as long as you're not planning on being disruptive. There's no special "place of honor" or anything. But it's totally normal for people to prefer to sit in the back. I'd assume the INTENT was trying to be friendly, not "make a spectical of you." 3- 7:00, you'd have to be more specific as to which sections you feel contradicted what was being said... we tend to crossreference a lot of scriptures and focus in on the main point, but the expectation is for people to take the time to study all of those passages in context (preferably in multiple translations). 4- 8:00, This would be the most complicated part. While the more popular perspective is that "the right people go to heaven, and everyone who doesn't go to heaven goes to hell to burn forever." The briefest explanation I can give boils down to Romans 6:23- that the wages sin pays is "death," but the gift of God is eternal "life." That God isn't a God of the dead, but of the living. And that the goal of humanity isn't to die and abandon the world, but for the resurrection (Daniel 12, John 5, 1 Corinthians 15, Revelation 21, etc.). Notice verses like Matthew 22:23 and Acts 23:8 describe the Sadducees as those who "say that there is no resurrection." So, we think the salvation of mankind is this resurrection and restoration of all that Adam lost (Romans chapter 5), but we also note a peculiar chapter: Revelation 7 which talks of a great multitude which no one could count from every nation, tribe, people, and language, but also a smaller flock if 144,000 "purchased from the earth." The larger flock isn't damned to hell. There's just a small flock taken out from among that larger flock, described as "priests." Now, if God audibly speaks to you as you seem to indicate, feel free to ask him for clarification on Revelation 7 and share your insights. Having only the bible to go on, the best I can figure out is that this "Great Crowd" is those resurrected to eternal life. And that this smaller "priestly" flock serves a similar purpose as the priestly group in the Mosaic covenant. The Levites weren't "better" than the rest of the Jews, but they had unique tasks and unique access to the holy place in the temple. A unique role of carrying the ark of the covenant. But this came with having no land of their own and not having the freedom to choose any other professions because they were called to priestly duties. And others were not permitted to fill in for those duties. So, when we see 1 Corinthians 11:27-29... it must mean something. Again, by all means, anyone who claims access to speak to God verbally, feel free to ask. But this seems to be a quite stern warning that should not simply be ignored and eaten casually. The most cautious understanding we have, given the evidence available is that this could be an acceptance of this priestly role... like picking up the ark of the covenant, or claiming that God personally gave us some message to speak on his behalf; not something to do presumptuously! Of course, people are free to think for themselves and interpret it differently. Some people respect the general opinion and don't make a scene at the memorial, but they interpret 1 Corinthians 11 in some other way, and may find it appropriate to have their own observance at home and eat and drink according to their conscience, in prayerful consideration of scriptures. That's entirely their business. 5- 8:50 ... no, no one would riot. If you fully understand scripture and feel called to eat it, that's totally between you and God. Perhaps you're right. Or, perhaps you don't understand and just break a social norm. We trust God knows what's in your heart and your true intentions, and isn't going to smite you for breaking our social norm. Although SOME people DO try to make a display of eating the emblems, not out of communion with Jesus, but as a display of rebellion against the congregation. We find that tacky, but again, that's still between them and God. Even if one interprets scripture that EVERYONE should eat the symbols, I'd say this would be quite inappropriate. But even if they made a big scene, no one would "riot." If they were DIRECTLY hostile, someone would ask them to leave. 6- 9:43 - Oo! I really like that they used the term "Governing!" This would be too much of a tangent, but this comes from the statement in Revelation chapter 5. Specifically verse 10 involving the terms βασιλείαν and the verb form βασιλεύσουσιν. Although this is where we studying multiple translations and manuscripts becomes important because while the Nestle Aland and Westcott & Hort use the feminine singular βασιλείαν (Kingdom), the Textus Receptus uses the masculine plural βασιλεῖς (kings). Anyway, the short version is the term βασιλεύουσιν is the verb form of kingdom. Translations like the KJV will translate this "they will rule and reign." But this sort of implies superiority OVER subjects below them, which is contextually problematic. However, "they will govern" is grammatically consistent while being consistent with how the Hebrew scriptures described the priestly role of the levites... specifically NOT rulers reigning over the rest of Israel, but a role of service and responsibility to their bretheren. Again, if you have a different interpretation of chapters 5, 7, and 14... feel free to analyze it... but they shouldn't just be overlooked as so many do.

They go with the "wages of sin is death" and forget about the FREE gift by God of eternal life THROUGH Jesus Christ part. They baptize into Father, Son and God's Spirit directed organization (yikes) err no. They made Jesus "a god" again minimizing the one that is the Saviour of the world with ALL the fullness of the Father as in Colossians and Hebrews AND it pleased the Father. Jesus even says to the Jews "I AM" none of these things detract from Abba Father, but they CERTAINLY bring forth the power of God and the right of the Holy Spirit to be accessed. As in being Born Again of Spirit and water consequently LED by Holy Spirit. They basically chop out the source and living word, power, and accessibility minimizing Jesus and HS and elevating governing body and Jehovah God. But CHRIST enabled our righteousness to go before Jehovah, and led by the Spirit of Truth, not a bunch of guys fishing out faulty indoctrination that constantly changes, like their Bible, due to "new light"...more like new laws. No, it's a cult, a very deceptive one. Saran works like that. You are told you are in the truth, special, Jehovah's people etc. If you leave it you leave Jehovah. That's nowhere in the Bible. Jesus Christ is the Way TRUTH and LIFE no man gets to the Father except by Him. Not JW land. The place is devoid of Holy Spirit. They are told no one else is doing the preaching work. That's a lie. Millions are, and they preach the Kingdom and "We preach Christ" as Paul said. Can't preach the Kingdom with telling people about Christ. Never, have I heard a a JW say, you must be Born Again, of Spirit and water.never have I heard them say Jesus is alive and sits at the right hand of His Father, pointing to His wounds making intercession for us day and night. Pleading the blood and declaring ALL that believe righteous in the eyes of Jehovah because HE alone has made His followers that. Justified, sanctified, reconciled to Jehovah... It JUST GOES ON and on, sadly. Mormons, Seventh Day Adventists, Scientologists, ... whatever.... Just accept Christ be a Christian, under the banner of Christ, THE HEAD of the church, get the fruits of the Spirit. Etc etc etc... Once upon a time, I handed 2 JW's a gospel tract that had the word HELL on the outside of it. They told me, "Oh, we don't need this. There IS NO HELL !!! We're Jehovah's Witness's." I had no idea how to talk with them, because I had NO IDEA what their knowledge base was. THAT put me onto a deep study of everything the JW's believe. I downloaded their bible and their publications and read them. Then I started delving into their database thru Google and following links. Watching videos, reading and cross referencing material against what it says in the bible and came up with 212 different verses and sometimes full pages of stuff and a few where up to three full pages of stuff was eliminated from their bible. They don't believe in HELL. They don't believe in the TRINITY OF GOD. ie. Father, Word (Son), Holy Ghost. They think Jesus was God's first CREATION. They think He is Gabriel, renamed to Jesus. They know Jesus was a prophet, but only that. They believe that. They believe that Jesus died on a torture stake, not a cross!) God raised Jesus from the dead, BUT NOT PHYSICALLY !!! They believe God raised him spiritually only. They think the 144,000 are high leaders in the past, in the early times of the Jehovah's Witness's that WORKED TO GET THEIR PART, to govern the J.W.s living on the planet earth. ((When you ask them what the tribes of Judah are, they have no idea what you're talking about. When you tell them that 12,000 of each of the 12 tribes of Judah will be marked with God's mark in their foreheads, as God's Witnesses during the tribulation period...they act as though that's mumbo-jumbo to them! When you take them tgru some of the deleted verses, they tell you that, MAN CHANGED IT THE WAY THEY WANTED IT...and I picked that up and ran with it. Yup, Jehovah's Witness's did JUST THAT !!! The JW church has pulled the wool over their eyes, all their life and have bum-fuddled their minds with an extra high level of the devil's BS !!! LOVE THEM. PRAY FOR THEM. WITNESS TO THEM !!!

God is Unconditional Love. This is Love, without conditions. We are all God’s children. There are NO conditions. Love one another. Separation and Division are what start wars. Why can’t we all just get along and LOVE each other!?? This is the very reason I stopped going to church many years ago. I starting becoming Unconditional LOVE I stopped comparing and judging others and embracing everyone’s uniqueness. I actually appreciate the Jehovah witnesses. I admire their tenacity to try to spead- what they think is the gospel to others. They actually woke me up spiritually and then I became a reborn Christian. So I'm a little softer on them.

I had the save experience! A JW very nice lady came to my house when I had an infant and a two year old. She sat with me and we did a Bible study. I had so much stress from bringing a mom at the time. She told me to throw my problems on God. Alone, later I physically threw my stress on God , throwing my arms out, yelling for God to take it. Life got better! I never took in non Christian ideas. I just enjoyed her encouragement to read the Bible, her kindness. Today I am grateful to her for rekindling the fire in me to get back to love for God and his Word.

As a former JW (Ex-JW), I can say that they all Love Jesus. The way the Memorial was originally explained to me was that it was a Rememberance of Jesus dying for our sins so that everyone could have a continued close relationship with God - so that our sins would not sever that relationship. So the Memorial is not meant as a funeral, but to celebrate Jesus' life & dying for all of us. (It's very similar to why Easter is celebrated. The JW's use the calendar that was used back by the Jewish religion - during Jesus' life - to figure out the "correct" date that Jesus' sacrifice originally would have occurred. Using that calendar is how the date is figured out each year for the Memorial. It's essentially a Celebration event which begins at Sundown - similar to how the Jewish faith celebrates certain religious events at sundown.) The other thing that this pastor mentioned was that they sat him & his wife up front. I can tell you that it was not meant to make them feel like a spectacle. They do that because anyone new, they would try to give the best seats to. (Just like if someone came to your house for dinner, you make sure that they have the best seat & food, as a good host.) Truly, the Witnesses would not care about how you're dressed. They would have been happy you are there. They love when new people show up. I'm not sure if you know, but each Witness has to study the Bible for several years before they are baptized. At the point of Baptism, each one becomes an Ordained Minister. I know many, really good Jehovah's Witnesses. Do I agree with the faith anymore? No. I do Not. What the Governing Body has done since 2018-2019 in particular, by becoming so strict with what the Witnesses are & are not allowed to do, is terrible!! - in my opinion. Originally, the Governing Body was there to give guidance (similar to how pastors of other religions do with their congregations), However, things have changed since 2018-2019. The Governing Body has been now placing themselves right under God & Jesus!!! This is so wrong, in my opinion!! The Governing Body (the Organization as it's referred to) has gone to lengths to keep it's group isolated more in the last few years. They have a Broadcast (JW Broadcasting) that they put out monthly. In my viewpoint, it's propaganda used to control the group. (Essentially, every single thing that you do in a day's time is controlled by the Organization's "guidance" which they back up using the Bible.) It's a very sad & difficult way to live. Most Witnesses give up many of life's joys to follow what they are told is the Bible's "guidance" - but is actually the Organization's. It's tough when any faith or Organization twist the Bible's instructions for a healthy lifestyle & Faith's activities into something meant for their own purposes rather than God's & Jesus' purposes for all of their people. (God & Jesus love All of us - regardless of faith - and want us All to love and have a relationship with them.) I kind of chuckled listening to parts of this sermon -- NOT out of Disrespect. It's just that Witnesses are told that God has lifted the veil from their eyes & to feel bad for the "worldly" (anyone not a Witness) people because they can't see the Truth because of the veil that's over them. I would say that this pastor has as much concern as many Witnesses would for him. I think that God wants us to love one another, so I agree with this pastor when he says that we should all be kind & pray - for one another. The first & most important command/principle that God gave to us is to love him first and foremost in our lives. The second command/principle is that we love our neighbors more than we love ourselves. So being kind & looking out for one another is what God wants us to do. Like any faith, no one wants to be condemned or told their faith is fraudulent or just wrong. I know many very Spiritual Witnesses that love God & put Him first in their lives. I personally feel that their Faith is just as strong as anyone elses' of other faiths. However, they are being misled by the Organization as they keep making "adjustments". If you come across Jehovah's Witnesses, please be kind in your interaction with them. The Organization tries to tell them that they are being "persecuted" by others for their faith because they know "the Truth". So when you are unkind to them, it just drives them further into the group. As I said, I'm an Ex-JW. Growing up, I went to different Churches with family & friends. The one thing that I saw in each of them was their sincere love for God. That's what should be celebrated; each faiths' commonalities & true love for God. 🙌🏼🙏🏼 ___________________________________ **Note: "For legal reasons, I need to say that anything said about the Organization / Governing Body / Watchtower is my opinion based on my previous life as a Jehovah's Witness as well as other experiences and research that I have done. I urge everyone to do their own research & come to their own conclusions. Thank you." - Adeline

You are right, pray a lot for them. It is almost impossible to reason with them but they have so much dirty laundry out there, like the Royal Australian Commission that investigated the watchtowers child sex abuse problem (2015). So sad how JW hierarchy treated the victims. The congregants are told to shun a lot of the victims.

I live in Independence Missouri. You know where the Jehovah witness temple is and they claim that Christ will first come to when he comes? I have seen some of their young men come knocking on our door. Although I am Christian of many years I was really tired that day and yelled at them. Not the best way to present Christ. I have prayed and continue to do so that I might be given another opportunity to talk with them. So I understand your message. I pray that the time is coming soon, but these will miss the Kingdom. I once went to a church that was not designated as a Mormon or JW church, but I was put into a Sunday school class with three elders and the 'older' group that I suppose to indocrinate me. I ended up correcting and teaching that class, but was pulled aside when it ended saying that this was a Latter day saints church and the man speaking held up a book of Mormon. By this admission I really felt unwelcome. I went into the sanctuary and sat down, where a future leader of the African church was to reign. I can call it no other, as she was sitting on a throne like chair and had the most disagreeable expression on her face. The Holy Spirit told me to leave that this group had nothing further for me. So I stood and left. I wish that had the strength to confront this congregation and tell them the good news that Jesus can to give them eternal life and a mansion in Heaven. By the way, those elders were studying the Book of Revelation. They had not yet reached the place where 144,000 were mentioned.

I was a JW for 22 years and left 8 years ago. The longer I’m away, the more controversies I find. The doctrines are always flip flopping and their prophecies are never fulfilled. False prophets are what they are. The public are deceived. Their ceremony of not partaking Jesus offering is rejecting Jesus. JW believe that only the anointed can partake. They do this at a black mass where they pass Jesus offering and reject it. Most JW are not aware of this. They could be also forfeiting eternal life. You did good by partaking. Read John 6 that shows Jesus offered it to everyone.

They no doubt put you up front so you could hear well not to make a spectacle of you. and when the bible says "keep doing thisin rememberance of me" quoting Jesus at the last supper hemeant keep partaking of the unleavened bread as his body and the wine as his blood. He is not dead as you implied they think we know he was raised to heaven after 3 days. Just his human body was dead. The only ones of the J.W's that partake of these emblems are the ones that they believe are going to heaven , the 144,000 as Revelation states. There is much more I want to mention but suffice it to say "don't speak of another religion because everyone in the world feels they are worshipping their god in the right way.

Because we believe in the promise jesus makes that 'all will be able to come to the father through him'. Revelations is a possible outcome in the spiritual domain (where time is not linear and everything is and was and will at once). This is why God presented himself to moses in the way he did. Jesus was ascended to heaven, including his scarred body. This is why he will be able to return to earth on the 2nd coming in the flesh.

This is super interesting coming from an observer. It was this business that sent me packing. For close to thirty years, my ears didn't hear what they were saying about their delineation between the 144,000 and the 'great crowd'. I had never put together that the emblems of Christ's body and blood were only for those in the new covenant with Christ [the anointed] and THEREFORE [here's the caveat] - Christ was ONLY THEIR mediator - not the 'great crowd's' mediator. The 'great crowd' had a chance at living on the earth forever IF they remained faithful and loyal to the organization [aka Jehovah] run by a few anointed men who call themselves the 'faithful and discreet slave class' [aka the Governing Body] giving their members food at the proper time. [I only remember 'sheep and the goats', 'wheat and the chaff'...not 'this class' and 'that class' within the body of Christ.] DONG! What do you mean, 'not my mediator'? There is no mediator except Christ - were they now claiming to mediate for the 'great crowd'? That's blasphemy - apostasy - heresy! I can't find a word bad enough! In who's name were we supposed to pray in, then? [I thought the speaker made a mistake, but then read it in the Watchtower study article - hard evidence.] It was like coming straight out of a coma doing 110 miles per hour with my eyes wide open. From there, everything came apart doctrinally. And it continues to do so 20 years later. I just revisited an interesting secretly recorded video of a couple of JW elders visiting Jimmy [an inactive 'publisher' - that 'publisher' title is another whole thing], talking about this 'mediator' issue. And it came down to one of the elders asking Jimmy if he believed what he read in the WT literature, or what he read in the bible? [I don't think he meant it to be a Freudian Slip] The first time ever, that I've heard an actual truthful statement from that organization! That's right, Mr. Elder - your trustworthy literature from the trustworthy 'faithful and discreet slave class' who feeds you the proper food at the proper time, directed by Holy Spirit - is at odds with God's own Word. How'd that happen, I wonder. And that conversation ended, lickity split. So, yes. Please do pray for them - it seems the ones who start asking questions are the ones who start reading the scriptures in context [even in their defunct translation], doing the literal math, or getting criminally treated [physically, emotionally, psychologically, spiritually] and going to the authorities for help. And in asking questions, they are treated as apostates and shunned by family and friends still in the organization [which has gotten the JW organization in trouble in Spain and Norway of late - the JW organization is now recognized as a dangerous cult in Spain, and in Norway the JW organization got their equivalent of a 501C3 taken away [no tax exemption or monies anymore] for abusing people with their shunning practices.] So now the organization is rebranding themselves in that area and denying their former treatment of disfellowshipped members, and are going after Norway in the courts to get their monetary status back. A lot of convoluted convoluting, if you ask me. As is everything that originates from that org. [They're not even a religion! Their own charter defines them as a business.] I'm going to stop here, because I've got to stop somewhere. It just never ends. Enough said. Thank you for doing this brave visit of yours, and posting this video.

@@debragreen7668 When Jehovah’s Witnesses observe the Lord’s Evening Meal, only a small fraction of us partake of the bread and wine. Why is that so? Jesus’ shed blood established “a new covenant” that replaced the covenant between God and the ancient nation of Israel. (Hebrews 8:10-13) Those who are in that new covenant partake of the Memorial emblems. It includes, not all Christians, but only “those who have been called” in a special way by God. (Hebrews 9:15; Luke 22:20) These ones will rule in heaven with Christ, and the Bible says that just 144,000 people receive that privilege.-Luke 22:28-30; Revelation 5:9, 10; 14:1, 3. In contrast to the “little flock” of those called to rule with Christ, the vast majority of us hope to be part of “a great crowd” who will gain everlasting life on earth. (Luke 12:32; Revelation 7:9, 10) While those of us with an earthly hope do not partake of the Memorial emblems, we do join in expressing thanks for the sacrifice that Jesus made in our behalf.-1 John 2:2.

I am a born-again Christian who spent years studying the beliefs of of the JWs, and of course their doctrine concerning the 144,000. There are MANY problems in their non-Christian beliefs but I will comment only on this one since it is the topic here. The Watchtower in Brooklyn teaches its adherents that, yes, there are only 144,000 select JWs who will be in Heaven, and this number was filled decades ago. (Likely in the 1960s) The Bible teaches that there is One Mediator between God and man: Jesus Christ. (1 Tim.2:5) He is the only way to Heaven and the only Name by which men must be saved. (Acts 4:12) According to their own doctrine and printed works, rank and file JWs are instructed that Jesus is ONLY the mediator for the 144,000. Who is the mediator for the “other sheep”? (all those NOT numbered in the exclusive 144,000) According to the Watchtower, the 144,000 are the mediator to all the rest. How’s that work out for you? All of the supposed 144,000 are gone from this earth. How do they mediate for them? Especially considering that according to Watchtower teachings, when you die, you cease to exist, only to be recreated later. No thanks! I will pray to the One True Triune God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, by way of Jesus Christ, The Word, (John 1:1) the Son of God, and Redeemer of my soul.
