Having experienced the anime for myself a couple years back, and am currently working my way through the novel proper, I am honestly not surprised Shingo chose Miu in the anime. Not only do the two have a surprising amount of chemistry between them, but with the way Airi and Sana had been treating him during the early portions, it's only natural he'd gravitate towards the girl who treats him like a human being and not a cockroach. Seriously, who knew treating the person you like with Kindness and Respect would land you a victory in love... the heart-break from the others soon after still hurt like hell though.

Hey August, just wanted to say that I watched an older video of yours a while back (think it was Sakuranomori Dreamers) and not only has your production quality evolved, but your voice delivery is spot on now. No more stiff lines or emotionless reads-just a smooth delivery, one after another. Great job on improving, hope you keep at it-I always watch your vids even if I've never heard of something before, just because I'm curious to hear what you think.

From what I can see, Mashiroiro Symphony has the combination of "Sabbat of the Witch" and "Fureraba". A school type story with many different heroines that has a "Main Heroine", "Tsundere redhead" and the one everyone likes and you agree type of girl. An amazing review that added another VN to my radar. Thanks!

Funny you mention that, one of the authors for Mashiroiro Symphony also wrote the story for Sabbat of the Witch!

I liked how the anime picked Miu and literally went all the way with it. That sort of resolution in a single season is a nice perk of adapting a visual novel instead of a super-long romance manga that hasn't even gotten the couple together by the time the anime starts airing. I was almost afraid that they were going to swap Airi in at the last minute, but I'm glad they didn't.

It was one of my first anime after Chuunibyou and Charlotte, I am so happy to finally see an official english translation. I wish more Vns had back sprites/sprites that move in the background (like when Ange's serves tea). I'm reading Sana's route right now and i totally love the progression of their relationship, one of the best I've ever read in any pure romance VNs

My early anime experiences. When I was a kid, it was Astro Boy, Toei's Little Mermaid, Samurai Pizza Cats, Sailor Moon, Pokemon/Digimon/DBZ. When I was a teenager at the same time as Poke/Digi/DBZ, there was Neon Genesis and BubbleGum Crisis. When I was in my early 20s and getting DVDs for first time, it was Love Hina, Mahoromatic and Midori Days.

Saw the thumbnail and immediately recognised that art style and knew it was a game from Palette because they have a unique way of drawing, they also made the visual novel 9-nine which is actually fire go read it

Wow, I feel old. I was curious why Miu is the chosen heroine in the anime. Was it the uniqueness, the drama, or the level of pain that follows? Great review btw

My first romance anime i think it was Tayutama, never gone through the VN tho, the one after that was Fortune Arterial, and after that i watched H2O Footprints in the Sand, man the vast majority of the stuff I've watched are damn tearjerkers. I looked into playing the VN of Fortune Arterial and other VN's but for the most part all the VN's that catch my attention usually never recieve a full english patch, or if they do an official patch it's a censored version... the last one that released with a full patch was Koiken Otome and welp, that was what? 10 years ago or something like that?

i kinda hated sana very much at first but in every route she always helped in one way or other and when i played miu route at last i was just to itching to finish it quickly so i can play sana edition. no character became so hated to most loved in my book. absolute best girl.

Technically you can, however for the best reading experience, I recommend reading the original to read Miu's route first.

How would you compare this with Princess Evangile, since they have the same premise?

Princess evangile always has the drama of whether they're going to keep the coed thing that Rise and co are trying to keep In, Mashifoni The school merger is maybe a problem in one or two routes. It's much more focused on personal drama. There's also toxic parent characters in Mashifoni In fact, all the adult characters are actually pretty cool except for the weird teacher who is into high school guys. Basically they are both slow paced Slice of Life drama's. It's just what the drama focuses on is different

@@YoshimiMilk well it helps Mashifoni has multiple guys in the merger so its not a single guy being bullied by 90+% of the school body like Evangile In fact most the female body in Mashifoni come around kinda quickly (except for Sana)

YOO i recently saw the opening of the sana edition and thought i should give it a try. After watching your review, I was blown away by how high the production value that this game has and I totally should play it. Do i need to play the original version to understand the sana version ?

I would highly recommend doing so. Playing Miu's route before Sana Edition makes the Sana Route so much more gratifying

Not gonna lie, the initial premise and the way the romances are characterized at 3:31 of the guy of him helping the girls with their problems makes me a bit hesitant to check this out. Not to say it can't work, but I've seen so many that fit this mold it feels boring.
