*The parchment paper is only adhered to your top disk. Your cake tier is sitting on the carboard cake board and placed directly onto the bottom disk.

Should we let the buttercream firm up before removing the disks.

Hi there! We use Swiss Meringue Buttercream, so we remove the disks immediately. Many of our customers use American Buttercream and chill the cake before removing the disks. We recommend experimenting with what's best for you. Some chill for an hour in the fridge, some chill for 10 to 15 in the freezer. :)
