I squealed just seconds before hearing "try not to squeal". LOL, instant fail on my part, but can ya blame me?! (Pomeranians are my fave, but any pupper, big or small, that has a lot of fluff comes in second.

There's something so sad about seeing product after product after product in a description of a video with link upon link upon link where you can purchase all these products, then being offered a 150 dollar pet grooming course because why not try and drain more money from people who want their pets to look well kept. You COULD just offer those videos for free, as a thank you to all the support over the years, but nope, 150 bucks. And the kicker, at the very end, you have a video saying "congrats, you did it." Yeah, congrats on giving me money. Just sad.

I did fostering for these dogs for 15 years and I want to BEG you to please don't cut their hair, even trimming shouldn't be done except on the pads, maybe in the back legs when they get older so defecation is easier. The reason is, is that they have guard hairs, and they don't get regularly replaced. The guard hairs keep them clean. If you cut them, they get dirtier much easier. I could have a dog COVERED in mud, and once they dried out, they were reasonably clean. Also, I'm certain you already know this, but be very careful to get out all shampoo. A common mistake people make with these dogs is they leave in a TINY bit of shampoo, and 2-3 weeks later, they get a hotspot. That's shampoo you left behind. It's easy to do this with a Samoyed because their hair is just so fine.

@@Krypto121 She literally grooms these dogs for free, a service that normally costs hundreds of dollars. And she puts out al these videos here for us for free too. Her webshop is how she makes a living. Only sad thing I see is that you seem to think she owes you a free professional grooming course too.

The ears are some of the cutest parts about Samoyeds. The fact that they’re partly floppy as puppies has made for some incredible photo ops for me.

It sounds kinda unreal and wishful thinking, but I happen to own a Samoyed and that’s exactly how they communicate. I feel they’re smart in a “I need this,” way and dumb in a, “I want this” way. Mine will wait at the dog door and bark once a minute when it’s blocked and he needs to go out. I know my dog once waited 8 hours one day and didn’t poo inside (which he would’ve had every right to.” Any time his water runs out, he will come and get you and bark once, twice or three times with 30 seconds in between it. It’s very purposeful and when you get up he’ll lead you to what he needs you to do. On the other hand, he’s completely dumb off the lead. He walks with me great and he’s so friendly with children. But we’ve stopped at the same road every day and I always get him to sit. Yet he still doesn’t know the routine and will just keep walking if I don’t give him the command to sit. I don’t know if he just assumes I’m the one that knows what I’m doing so he doesn’t have to think? Or is he really that oblivious 😂

He just wanted to be rewarded with cuddles!

Maintaining an adult Samoyed coat would COMPLETELY undo me, but I have just been unhealthily tempted by this little fluffy pup.

@@kohlinooractually... they are not that bad. Yes, you do brush a lot and they do shed. You have to accept that their floofy goodness will be spread everywhere and if you wear black or dark colors make sure you have plenty of lint rollers. BUT, they don't have oily coats so they don't get that "doggy" smell and their coats don't get dirty like some other breeds... most of the dirt brushes out. Honestly, if you brush them a bit every day you can keep their coats nice and unmatted and for me it was rather relaxing. Winston loved to get brushed. And since I did it every day it it wasn't terrible... but when they blow their coats, I won't lie. You do have to brush a lot or it will get matted. But I tell you this. The extra trouble was worth it. I can't even fully describe how wonderful and sweet their personality is. And how sweet and kind they are. I now have a corgi mix and I adore him so much and wouldn't trade my Fred for anything. But there is something ... extra... about Samoyeds. They are the unicorns of the canine world.

My previous next door neighbours had a Sammy named Sasha, she lived to be 16. She would just hang out on the driveway and stare at me through the basement windows 😂She'd always greet me when I came home from work. When that little ragged old cloud no longer appeared in my windows it was heartbreaking

Dogs really are too precious for this world. My own dog, a Great Pyrenees, saw how whenever she was sick we never leave her alone, so now when we’re sick or not feeling well (wether that be emotionally, physically or because of anxiety) she always lays down in our rooms with us, and this is because she prefers sleeping downstairs.

I don't know if this helps, but quail eggs are supposed to really help with allergies. Please check for yourself, but quail eggs are now a lot more available, and I sincerely hope they will help your sister with her allergies.

He was a gift from a friend, we just accepted him gladly, and fell in love instantly. No time to do research
