Great Wall display. I have the problem of some characters standing too far back on the shelves that tend to get lost in the shadows. I added some LED pucks that create some neat lighting and numerous color options. Fun to say Red Alert like I'm on the bridge my voice control and the shelves turn red.

Thanks for sharing your awesome collection and your thought process on how to display it. I personally like the custom Matt Trakker, since I'm hoping a toy company will create quality 7 inch action figures of the classic M.A.S.K. characters. I dig your NECA King Features and Gargoyles characters too. I would love to see Biker Mice from Mars get that treatment. Since another company has dibs on them at the 7 inch scale; it would be wonderful if NECA could make 1/2 scale figures of them as they did with their Deadpool.

I used to run a film festival. We specialized in films that would male good comic books (yes, intentionally backwards). We partnered with Heather Henson. Jim's daughter and sort of an indie puppet film guru herself. She brought us a bunch of amazing puppet films among them one called Junk Palace. It was about two brothers who live in a horde of all their old junk. It's what always comes to mind when I go through my own collection and videos like this. Not in a negative way at all, it just brings that film up, although I do wonder when we are old men crushed under our toys. If I die that way, you can say I died happy.

I'm too eager to have EVERYTHING on display at once so I can actually enjoy it rather than have it all packed away in cardboard boxes. Problem is I get all gung-ho about setting the room up and then get distracted by other projects around the house or change my mind half way through and start over. There are so many holes in my walls. 😅I had track shelves on all the walls of the room I keep my collection in, but tore them down to build enclosed cases (because I live on a dirt road and hate dusting my figures), now I'm putting the old track shelves around the entire perimeter of the room about a foot from the ceiling (directly over the door and window height) which is going well and looking good, but sort of eliminates the whole point of trying to be dust free. My ultimate goal is to build a two floor, two car garage and claim the entire second floor for my collection, but that's at least 15 years away...

I totally relate to wanting to have everything on display. Back in the early 2000's my collection covered every single flat surface in the apartment I was living in. Kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, living room. Everywhere. But what I've found is that I don't actually LIKE having everything on display. It's just too overwhelming visually for me. Too busy. Uses up too much space for me. I like having more focus on fewer things presented in a way that really allows me to appreciate the things I'm most interested in right now.
@emerje0

@@ToyGalaxy I'm glad you found something that works for you, it does look great, Dan. 👍I have too much invested in my collection for it to be boxed up and don't mind a "neatly cluttered" shelf. I have some space set aside for floating shelves where I can do "showcases" and pegboards for MOC figures so it wont all be a sea of figures.

@@ToyGalaxy I built a diorama to display my Spoops, and use some rechargeable LED pucks to light it. They have different color options, a remote control, and the ones I got have a timer, so they turn on at the same time everyday for 2/4/6 hours, depending on what I set them to. They are intended to light pools and hot tubs, with magnets on the back, which is how I keep them secured inside the lid of the metal barrister case I have them in.
