Couscous is a rich and tasty food that contains the same nutritional properties as pasta but with fewer calories and is therefore light and low-calorie, it can become a perfect ally for keeping you fit without giving up the pleasures of the table. It is ideal for those who do sports thanks to the proteins that compose it. It does not contain cholesterol, and consumption is indicated for people who suffer from cardiovascular problems.
Couscous with chicken and vegetables is an ideal dish that can be eaten both hot and cold.
Cold couscous is the perfect lunch to take to the office to avoid packaged foods that are bad for your health.
Preparation of couscous:
Couscous does not cook on the stove in boiling water. You have to steam it for a few minutes, or simply cover it with boiling water after placing it inside a container and seasoning with a drizzle of oil.
✦INGREDIENTS FOR COUSCOUS:
Pre-cooked couscous 200 g
Boiling water or vegetable broth 220 g
Extra virgin olive oil 15 g (1 tablespoon)
Salt 1 pinch
FOR THE SEASONING:
Chicken breast 200-300 g
Salt to taste
Black pepper to taste
Tomatoes to taste
2 cloves of garlic
