ABOUT CHICAGO PD
From multiple Emmy Award-winning executive producer Dick Wolf, "Chicago P.D." is a riveting police drama about the men and women of the Chicago Police Department's elite Intelligence Unit, combatting the city's most heinous offenses - organized crime, drug trafficking, high-profile murders and beyond. Handpicked as the head of the unit, Det. Sgt. Hank Voight (Jason Beghe) has assembled a team of diverse detectives who share his passion and commitment to keeping the city safe. They include Jay Halstead (Jesse Lee Soffer), Officer Kim Burgess (Marina Squerciati), Officer Adam Ruzek (Patrick John Flueger), Officer Kevin Atwater (LaRoyce Hawkins) and Det. Hailey Upton (Tracy Spiridakos), the newest member of the team with killer instincts, humor and smarts. Desk Sgt. Trudy Platt (Amy Morton) runs a tight precinct with tough love, although she lets her softer side shine through from time to time.
Chicago PD is available now on Peacock, the new streaming service from NBCUniversal. Watch thousands of hours of hit movies and shows, plus daily news, sports, and pop culture updates. Stream now on Peacock.

Those that choose to run from the police think they’re going to get away. Sometimes, they do, but other times, they end up facing the consequences of their choice to run. If you’re only a suspect in a crime, the worst you can get is being held in custody until the police verify your whereabouts and alibi. If you’re the perp, just own up to it and face the consequences of what you did. In the end, crime doesn’t pay, and it shouldn’t be allowed to.

We got Adam as Voight’s male version and Hailey as his female version, both loyal, as Jay Kev and Kim are the potential equalizers to something bad happening. That’s what makes them a great unit. They balance off each other despite the difference of perspectives policing. To be honest, I was mad that Hank didn’t pull the damn trigger at the end. It’ll easily made the rest of the season way interesting if you ask me.

@@Cal90208 it honestly makes me laugh thinking for a sec based on the two that had Voights back in his decision. Why do I see Ruz and Jay and the little angel and devil on Voights shoulders almost? I feel like Ruz has become Voight "yes man" who does like anything he asks. I think it cause Ruz feel like he owes Voight for covering for him with a lot of things. Jay, on the other hand, has become like his voice of reason, like Al was. Jay and Voight have different moral codes and that makes them but heads but also work well together. Ugh, I love this season so much cause we get great storylines, the relationships, and the interactions between different characters.

It is a shame ... first Cops, then Southland, and the only one left (Chicago PD is gone after Olinsky and Antonio are gone, and these criminals are treated like ladies from the 1800´s.

They really have nerfed voight since the start of season 8. Not saying the show is bad now but it’s definitely lacking that gritty feel to it. It isn’t the same as it was back in season 4,5, and 6

Voight has come a long way. I appreciated how the writers wrote in the change in him. He has always been good but now he has changed the way he carries out this "good." I mean the smashing the red pick-up scene shows the duality or struggles to conform to this new way of carrying out justice.

I love Hailey. Everyone is kind of annoyed about her 180 turn but I'm not. Hailey held a lot back as a cop and person and she just has her own opinion on justice, law and policing and she carries and holds her own darkness. Also I love Jay and his big heart and his moral compass.

Honestly, I really don't like how Halsted try to be all self-righteous, as if he knows better than Hank. Since the series begin, all he did was nothing but questioning Voight.
