I think it's interesting that while gholam's name surely points to the archetypal golem, his capabilities and habits are very reminiscent of T-1000 from Terminator 2. Considering, that Age of Legends was highly advanced society, that would nicely fit "sci-fi" interpreatation.

Thanks! I haven't been able to identify more references in the slog books, but I'm sure by the time of the last battle, more mythology elements will be present, and I'll analize them.

Subconsciously, we applied to our own history. Kinda like modern day mythos of ancient times where magic was possible. Like King Solomon binding demons.
