In this video we travel to Biloxi, MS to replace the rooftop A/C units on top of Bath and Body Works inside the Edgewater Mall. The crane in the video is a Liebherr LTM 1250 5.1.

Great Video of The LIEBHERR LTM 1250-5.1 From Glenn Machine Works of Ocean Springs, MS -- I Sure Hope This Mobile Crane did not get Damaged in the Tornado that Occurred on or about Saturday, March 25, 2023!!!
@Reynoldscraneservice Жыл бұрын
Thank you for the concern but the tornado hit quite a bit further north than where we are. None of the equipment was damaged! 👍🏽

How come you don't stack your weights on the trailer then land them on the deck? 3 part the block and run a pair of 30k endless and you only have to swing once per truckload of weights. I run a 1220-5.2 and it charts 68,000 with no counterweight far enough to load & unload trucks off the sides and rear.
@Tmad9584 ай бұрын
Waste of time to do all that. Putting a 3 part in then taking it right back out to one part for the job. Not to mention all of that is more work for the guys on the ground.

I am curious,what is the distance and weight of the load?

I don’t remember the exact weight but somewhere around 2000 lbs and 240’ radius for the distance 👍🏽

Hello Pat, I am a mobile crane operator and I follow you from Spain, one questions, how ,mucho is the annual salary in the USA? a greeting.
@Reynoldscraneservice2 жыл бұрын
It depends. Most of us are paid hourly so your gross is really dependent on how many hours you’re willing to work. I would say it ranges from $70,000 to $120,000usd in the states. Maybe more if you’re running specialty equipment
@frankdevo5715 Жыл бұрын
@@Reynoldscraneservice That tracks with my experience as an operator in the US. Also depends where you’re working in the US. Large costal cities will typically pay better than small midwestern towns obviously. It all equals out after taxes and rent/mortgage though lol
@TheRoach744 ай бұрын
In Toronto, Canada we make $100-200k on average. We are hourly also!

Why would you do a 180 swing at full boom extension?

What in the world does that matter???

@@Reynoldscraneservice When you make a pick, you plan them with the fewest maneuvers and risk. The pick (lift) was not well thought out.

@@bills6946 that’s how it is in taxi crane. We didn’t place the units where they were, we just set the crane up where we needed to be. That’s a pretty silly thing to get held up on. That’s a brand new LTM 1250. The machine is designed to swing 360* about a million times so that’s what we do when the job calls for it. 👍🏽

US is sometimes so ridiculous... The boom on a extra trailer....
@Reynoldscraneservice2 ай бұрын
Yeah we call them boom dollies. Have to have the extra 3 axles in some states. They are super common over here even on smaller cranes
@gigi-of2tu Жыл бұрын
Why do you carry the boom on the trailer?
@Reynoldscraneservice Жыл бұрын
Because it spreads the weight of the machine over 8 axles, rather than only 5. It allows us to abide by specific axle weight requirements for state laws, bridges, etc.
@gigi-of2tu Жыл бұрын
@@Reynoldscraneservice ahhh... Things are different here in Europe
@frankdevo5715 Жыл бұрын
@@gigi-of2tu This varies a lot even between states in the US. I know of at least one state that does not allow boom dollies at all which means anything over ~200t requires the whole boom to be removed for transport.
@samandbritt224 Жыл бұрын
@gigi-of2tu Europe has much different road laws and weight restrictions than the US. Most states in the US only allow approximately 10 ton per axle. If the gross weight exceeds 10 ton per axle, more axles must be added somehow. Hence the boom dolly. For example in Texas, an LTM-1400 has a weight limit of 90 ton gross so no boom dolly is required, but in Georgia you can't exceed 68 ton gross so we have to remove the boom entirely. It's quite ridiculous, but I will say on some cranes a boom dolly does make the ride much smoother. My LTM-1220 rides much better with a boom dolly than "in the rack" as we call it.
