This is how rock is sized and screened and sold as a product. It is first blasted then pushed down with a bulldozer. Then it is screened using loaders and either crushed again or sold as is depending on what the customer needs. Equipment used JD644K CAT950G CAT D9L JD200D Filmed with a 7D + 100-400L

Worked 3MM quarry 8 1/2 years till they closed & moved from NJ down south. Climbing the ranks & was a great experience. Miss the people & the environment. Some of the best memories 😑.

I am a mining engineer, but all my experiences were in coal mine. My only involvement in quarry was for the introduction of electronic detonator. This video provided me a quick induction to a quarry operation.

As a never worked in a quarry guy , it looks like the angle on that sorter could stand to be lowered. It looks like a lot of unwanted sizes are getting through.

I am looking at videos on how people work on quarries, which this and other videos show people using modern machines and vehicles. People have been quarrying and carving rocks into stone blocks since ancient times, which they only had simple tools. Anyway, it is useful to know (especially in archeology) how people work on quarries.

No clue, I just got a job at one and all it says in the description is "Must be able to lift, pull and carry 125 pounds" So they probably make us slaves sort or shovel all day in the hot ass sun....While the slave boss cracks whips at us.

I started out doing clearing and grading and setting the 1st plant at LBM Industries and finished up there with a 13 1/2 year stint. A buddy of mine said I spent my whole life moving rocks from one place to another. With 50+ years of it I'd say he was right.

You probably moved more material in the last 10 years of years of your career then you did the first 40 years of your career. All because the size of the machines growing in size and being so much more efficient

@@cntslesfabrication Quite possible but there was always a variation from big to little. Always a trade-off as to who had what. big outfit or small. A D8H or a 350 John Deere. A 4-lever Ford or a 300 Komatsu. A 550 Ford por a 980 Cat OR a 115 Z-iv Kawasaki. 185 horse Thermodyne with a 5x4 or a 427 and an 18 speed. 21 tons vs. 25. Variety kpt me limber and paid the light bill and I Loved it all! STILL do!

quarry means rock mine. hehe instead of say a coal ore iron mine you mine for stone thats usually is used for building material. usualy as aggregate in concrete.

I work the industry its called a reject grid. Most quarrys use screeners with those built in google maximus or powerscreen or any of the other big brands.

Thanks for rubbing it in😄. Where I work ( one of the poorest county's in the state) 6 years ago I was at $ 10 now $ 16 and I think one of the 6 of us makes a little more than me but at least I have a job and a job I like ,I load trucks any thing from simi's once in a while to little trailer's that hold #1200-#1500 ,mostly tri axle trucks down to pick up's .Don't have a scale on the loader so I guess the weight and most of the time I at right on. Probably Vulcan and you need to find a smaller outfit. Vulcan is BIG! Maybe union. I've hauled out of them but never worked FOR them.

A quarry is a place where stone is squared (Quarter). Hence the name... So many people confuse blasting and or crushing plants.
