A film exploring Charlotte's Wood, a forest school run by Charlotte Atkinson and her team. Here we see the importance of outdoor learning, why children should have time away from their screen devices and how forest school can be beneficial to children with autism.

I once had a day in forest school. I wish it was longer though. We toasted marshmallows, decorated some wood with pens, built a water proof den, climbed trees and much more. I need to ask for some rope for Christmas so I can use it outdoors

This is a great depiction of children playing and being in nature. I love how you have a "magic spot" and encourage the the act of appreciating nature with the three S's: sitting, silent and still. Very meditative.

I love this with every part of my body! It is so great to see how forest school benefit all and how we can engage learners in the natural world. I too am nature-based educator and I have enjoyed teaching with ever part of myself

I would love to get my kiddos involved in forest school! I need to look around the Chicago-land area after things open back up!

This is basically what we’re doing at my school, But In the Schools outdoor unit And With frozen meal so and regular learning.

Wonderful video full of awe. Are you able to advise me on helping a fifteen year old with autism on some activities which I can help enable him to do during lock down. We have a decent garden:)
