It’s slip kept I’m not pretty sure, plus you only do that if you trailer it or it’s the off season. No point in scrubbing off what the water put on the hull while it’s still in the water

Haha yeah I know. She’s been in the water since May 15th 🙈. Believe me though I’m shopping for a hull scrubber. With the water in the harbor being in the low 70s I might jump in and scrub.

I've done this exact fishing trip at the mouth of Long Island Sound, hundreds of times out of Rhode Island! You just bring binoculars and look for the rest of the boats. They're either at The Race, Block Island or Plum Gut, following the birds and baitfish. Stripers and Bluefish tend to travel together and once you're into a blitz, it's one fish after another until the feeding frenzy stops and kicks off somewhere else. Once you see the birds crashing, you gotta be quick with a center console boat to get in there before the rest of the armada! 😆 It's some of the best ocean fishing you'll find anywhere, if you're at the right place at the right time.

Bleed them out, soak in buttermilk or Mayo for a few hours, smoke (Alder or Maple) on the half shell with cajun spice and a little lemon. Yummy!

My son an i just got back from north shore off stonybrook harbor. Killed blues about 30 mins. north in 90 feet of water with top water poppers. Beautiful day.

Yea those bass are on the bottom at the rip. Not sure if this would work but maybe attaching a depth finder to keep the lure down and should grab em as long as u hit the hump. Never tried lures always live eels, but hey good to know as lugging around live bait can be a nuisance

Quite possibly the biggest Bluefish I've ever seen landed. NICE!!! That boat deck re-do is still mind-blowing. It adds so much to each video you put out. I'd love to see some colab videos with other KZfaqrs, like some in Northwest Florida. But that's me being biased. Keep up the great work.

Such a great area to fish. They do a shark tournament yearly there. My cousin has won it a few times. I am going over there tomorrow. Tight lines. If you ever go back to RI for surfcasting let me know.

I've caught some real nice stripers off Black Rock using some copies of a Gibbs Needlefish, dark green and black were just killing em. Also caught some slobs on a Sebile Magic Swimmer I would never use Old Bay or atleast that much on Sea Bass, some butter and lemon pepper is perfect. Old Bay just over powers it

For the matches, flip the front over to sandwich the match head between the front and sandpaper strip and just pull for easier light next time

Hey Bud, nice video. Just curious why everyone knocks the blues. Great fighting fish, in fact, pound for pound probably the best in mid-atlantic. Voracious and dangerous eaters I have had the pleasure of fishing blitzes many times. Even on their own, a 10 pound rogue blue fights as good or better as a 20 pound striper. Especially if you are throwing them back and not keeping them anyway. Great video again, just throwing in my 2 cents worth. Tight Lines!!!

15:05 With those matches, you're supposed to fold the lid and pinch the match between the strike strip and the lid. Then pull.

Dude what kind of boat is that? I plan on doing that all summer. Lost my job in November and plan on fishing all summer! Can’t wait! It takes me an hour and a half to get to the block
