Strawberry Freezer Jam:
4 cups Pureed Strawberries
4 cups sugar
1/3 + 2 T instant clear jel
Blend berries in blender. Add clear jel to sugar then stir it into the berries. once dissolved, pour into freezer containers or jars. Leave set out for at least 6-8 hours or overnight before freezing. The sugar needs time to sit. Then freeze.
Strawberry pie filling:
1 cup sugar 2 cups water. 1 3oz. box strawberry jello
2 heaping T cook type clear Jel mixed in 1/2 cup water.
Bring everything except the clear jel mixture to a boil. Then add clear jel in and stir for about a minute. Cool. Add fresh sliced berries!🍓
Strawberry Shortcake
2 eggs
1/2 cup butter, melted
2 cups sugar
1 cup milk
3 cups flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
Beat eggs; add melted butter and milk. Stir and add flour, sugar, baking powder and vanilla. Pour into 2 round cake pans. Bake 25-30 minutes at 350°.
Strawberry Lemonade
5-6 fresh squeezed lemons
add water and ice. ) I do not have measurements, sorry)
sugar or sweeten to taste
add some strawberry puree to it
add ice

Strawberry Freezer Jam doesn't really have that much sugar compared to cooked jam. My cooked jam recipe calls for 7 cups of sugar. Freezer jam is quick and easy to make and just as easy to store. My husband says it tasted fresher too.

I love that you let your girls help! I learned to cook by working with my mother and grandmother, and I remember getting strawberries ready for the freezer exactly like you did! I let all three of mine help, a son and two daughters. They’re grown now, and I’m a retired elementary school teacher, 69 years old, and I’m loving doing homemaking things again. That and sewing, crafting, and playing pickleball!!

Hi Lynette, I've been watching your channel way back when you lived in Ohio. You are such an inspiration to watch. I'm familiar with the "Walnut Creek" products being my husband's family is from Michigan and they have Amish and Mennonite neighbors. It's always a treat to visit them since we live in the New England part of the country and get to enjoy all of the Amish/Mennonite food. My husband's cousin is even a Mid wife for the Amish community in her area. God Bless your beautiful family.

When I was little I can remember my granddaddy use to bring home 2-4 flats of strawberries at a time & he would wash them cut the steam off & mash them up & then put tons of sugar on them let them sit an hour then stired them up & then put them in pints freezer baggies & put them in the freezer. He would do peaches the same way. He taught my kids how to eat them that way now my son is teaching his kids how to do the same thing. My favorite way to eat strawberries is with a fresh sour cream or cream cheese pound cake.

Lynette I have been watching you and your family on KZfaq since before you moved to Florida! And have enjoyed watching your family grow! My family is grown and no longer live in Cincinnati where my husband & I live! We love visiting Berlin and Walnut Creek and the wonderful surrounding area! Walnut Creek products I sometimes can find here at Farmers Market and my butcher shop! Always quality! I miss cooking for a family although my husband loves home cooked meals but it is reduced portions! You are blessed to have family in Sarasota where many of our friends and neighbors go to get away from winter! It was fun watching your Strawberry haul and the variety of freezer items you could make! My sons and daughter used to love to cook with me like Oaklynn and your sons! The best way to eat strawberries with cake is with milk. I’m originally from Lancaster county PA and that’s how we always ate strawberries. We now live near Charleston SC glad they have lots of u pick places.

For the pastry..when rolled out to size, fold in half then half again then lift this " wedge" onto pie plate over one quarter of it..then unfold!! So easy. Great cook up video..thanks for ideas!

We have a Mennonite truck, big 18 wheeler, come through our town when they have fruit to sell and just last week I bought a flat. Gorgeous, delicious strawberries!! I gave a lot to my 3 daughters, froze some whole for smoothies and for making jam later. Freezer jam is definitely the one I'm making. My mom always made it and I have the little piece of folded up paper with the recipe on it that came out of the pectin box that she used. It's kinda fragile. I'm nearly 65 and I remember the jam from very little so I suspect the paper is at least that old too. Thank you for sharing your recipes!

I loved all the Strawberry recipe ideas. My son’s favorite cake was a Strawberry cake that we would poke holes in the cake after baked and pour crushed strawberries with sugar over the cake and top with a “frosting “ of cool whip and dry vanilla pudding!

You can use a sharpie marker to label and date those freezer containers. The sharpie will come off using a pencil eraser 🙂

I love making freezer jam. My daughter and I go to a local farm and pick 10 quarts of strawberries and put up freezer jam. In 2022 we did canned jam for the first time ever and it turned out amazing. It didn't make as much for some reason as freezer jam but boy was it good. Needless to say it didn't last long. Thanks for sharing all your strawberry goodies, I can't wait to make lemonade!! We have two and a half months to go for 🍓 season up here, it's so far away😢!!😊❤

I was driving back home to Erie from Columbus after watching my daughter’s hockey game at OSU. I decided to stop and visit the Walnut Creek store. WoW so much to see and do!
