Liked the clip mainly because you seemed to really enjoy your food. That's the key to a great food clip. The presenter has to be seen to be really enjoying the food before the audience can be moved!

There are too many violent protests in Hong Kong. Tourists are not recommended to stay in Hong Kong. Instead, they can consider transiting through Hong Kong to Macau and Zhuhai (a city in Guangdong province).
@NatashaTang
@NatashaTang 4 жыл бұрын
That is actually completely untrue. As someone who lives in Hong Kong I can assure you I have had many visitors with similar concerns come to Hong Kong and see that they were not affected at all because most of the protests happen in areas that are farther away and not tourist destinations. And the few times that they do happen downtown, all you need to do is avoid that neighbourhood and change transportation plans accordingly. People in Hong Kong, including protesters, will tell you that life goes on in HK.

@@NatashaTang Lives do not go on perfectly in Hong Kong recently. Many shop owners opt to close their shop during protests. Some shopping malls close during protests. I believe shopping is one of the popular activities for tourists so they can be affected. Some protesters entered Ngong Ping 360 Cable Car terminal which is a tourist attraction not at the city centre (just one out of 50 examples). Tourists generally stay in city centre and tourists can be affected by riots at city centres (There are more than one busy commercial districts in Hong Kong and all are common riot area). Riots take place near hotels. The fact is that even if you choose a hotel far away from city centre such as those in Tuen Mun and Yuen Long district, you can still see protests. Unless the tourist concerned is very interested in politics, I see no reason for him/her to visit Hong Kong for leisure at present. Well, I understand that hotels' marketing team is probably giving you another viewpoint.

@@NatashaTang Objectively speaking, Hong Kong is a city tourists should avoid. 2 more pieces of information: (1) Singapore has issued a "strong" travel warning on Hong Kong. (2) Today, the fifth of October (until this moment), all railway services including that going to airport have suspended.

@@hugolo4017 Yes, this weekend a lot is happening. It doesn't mean it's like this every day and that there is danger at every corner. But I suppose it's fair for you to assume certain things since you can only get your information from the media, so I won't fault you for not having the full picture.

@@NatashaTang In general, I recommend people not to go into a protest / conflict area. However, if you are interested in knowing whether the mass who protests pose safety threat, I recommend you to go to a safe place such as a restaurant that is close to the mass gathering in order to observe at first hand. Have the railway stations in your home country ever been burnt deliberately? If not, I show objection on your statement which implies that those kinds of action that took place recently do not need to be taken into consideration by general travellers when evaluating the general safety situation of Hong Kong. I personally assume there will be arson in railway stations in Hong Kong again in the future, though I admit that this is simply a personal speculation.

These videos will be seen by people who don't necessarily know what all these items are, so sometimes as a host you have to point things out that may be obvious to you. Surely you know that's how storytelling works
