I've been addicted to watching ASMR videos on KZfaq lately, and kimchi fried rice made there looked so good I had to copy them!
I can't wait to make this kimchi fried rice again because it was so delicious I could imagine! 😋

I had an orange this AM. Peeled and sectioned, threw it on a plate. Stopped, remembered these vids, rearranged sections to resemble a flower but you know what? It tasted better! Made me feel special 🤗🙏🤣🤣🤣

I have moderate depression, and honestly these videos give me so much motivation during the day. Like she makes every moment feel special, and daily chores feel like something akin to a ritual. I’ve been putting of the dishes for a week, and I saw this video and decided I would do them to try and make my day special.

Someone told me something not too long ago that's been helping me with being able to keep up with not just my housework but my self-care amidst my own depression. "Do the task as a gift to your future self, and don't forget to thank yourself after you've finished it." These videos emphasize that for me, as well as give me something to relax to for a while once the task is done. I've also been working on learning to forgive myself if I've let something slide, so if you slip, forgive yourself and carry on. :-)

@@CuriousRedChicken Especially since most housecleaning tasks don't take too much mental effort once you've gotten started. You might even find doing the same old thing in different ways every once in a while can help. As an example, I used to hate doing dishes by hand when I didn't have a machine to do the work for me, and now that I've got one I find that I sometimes need to do them by hand for my mental health. Same with mopping my floors; I've got a swiffer as well as the old pain in the butt mop and bucket lol. Extra points for the Pine Sol making the place smell like my mom's house when I was a kid lol.

I had a very successful marriage for many years. Now, as a widow I enjoy being alone and cooking, shopping, going to the beach, reading with a cup of coffee, and my day usually flies by. It’s not sad, I always have family and friends to turn to if I need some conversation.

なんか泣きそうになりました。 そうそう、毎日こうやって小さな幸せを散りばめて、自分の好きなものを集めて生きていけばいいんだ、って。 なんだか最近悲しいニュースに胸が苦しくて、ふとしたときに色んな人の人生と自分の人生を交差するように考えてしまっていたけど、この動画を観たら毎日誰にでも穏やかな幸せがきっとあって、辛いこともたくさんあるけど、人はそうやって乗り越えられるって思いました。うまく伝えられませんが、心が軽くなりました。ありがとうございます。

My mother when she has to just make food for herself just makes anything literally as easy as possible so I showed her this and told her that she also just makes food for herself but see how much she loves and appreciates herself that she always puts effort in her meal and you should too since me and my brother we both live some place else and she does this everyday but now I am seeing a change!

I feel it is easier to be a single In Japan. We have a word “ohitorisama” which means a single customer to be called not offensive way. The restaurants and cafes are normally very nice to ohitorisama customers and I love it! Please come over as a couple, group or, “ohitorisama” you are all welcomed.

I wish my health would allow me to visit Japan. It’s been a wish for many years. I’m 61 now and don’t see my health getting any better, u fortunately 😩

All she does is beautiful and in such good taste. In Japan, where they work such long hours, how does she do it? Happy she is able to, including having a pretty comfortable life as a single woman; not always easy. I swear the look of that avocado will hunt me forever... such perfection. Love this channel. 🙏🌹

It reminds me of one of those short films they add before a Disney animated movies begins😊 Very nice, BTW. The background music you add to it, goes perfectly with your calm persona. It's nice to see that there is contentment in living alone, for whatever reason...rather than going with the flow trying to fit in with the crowds.

I made your kimchi fried rice- I used cauliflower rice instead and rotisserie chicken in place of the spam you used. It was AMAZING. I just recently found your channel and your simplicity of life and talent in the kitchen seem to bring me some much needed peace. Thank you for sharing with us!

I always look forward to your weekly vlog Nami! I don't skip any part, love the theme at the end of saying bye with neighborhood cats, I also like taking pics and petting the cats close to my house hehe I wish I could have one too. It feels like a modern version of the 50s where the people dress up when they go shopping. Meanwhile, in the U.S. people wear sweats or Pjs.

some people have stressful day lives and maybe they just want to be comfortable while running errands instead of trying to impress judgmental strangers that they don't know and probably never will know.

That's correct, its a different style in Japan. I am British and have a Japanese wife, in Britain we dress to go out for dinner, Japanese less so. My wife complains if I don't dress to go shopping! Japan is a lovely country to live in.

you don’t have to glorify everything japan does yknow. there are plenty of people in that country who wear sweats or joggers when they’re out 😐

Hi Nami, Love the sound of the bread as you cut it, sounded just like the loaf of artisan dark rye bread I made yesterday. Yummy! I could see myself (in a male version) sampling the eateries there, as well as the museums, handcrafted arts centers, and tool stores.... 😎👍
