This is just a day...one day in my life. I am in the Texas Hill Country and decided to capture one day of six for you all to watch this was the first day when securing food, shelter, fire and water was important. These were some basic survival needs and my primary focus during this one day! Appreciate you all watching!
Thanks a million for watching, liking and sharing my videos. I appreciate the support you all have given this channel! Your time, interests and feedback are important to me. I really want to say thanks to each and every person who likes, subscribes and shares my videos. Much respect!
See you in the bush! Check out and follow my social media links below.

Amazing video, punctuated by the fact that the only words during the entire video were a slight whisper of thanks to the fish that was taken from the water. Thank you for being so humble, Donny!

I’ve primitive camped a few times throughout my life. In all of those times, I had ONE day like this. ONE. Everything went perfectly just as you show here. All of the other days involved challenges of some kind. Trouble with shelter or with starting a fire or to harvesting food, etc. But that one day I will never forget. Thank you for reminding me. Love your content and your lifestyle.

You're a machine...no wasted movements, or mental pondering over what to do - just very deliberate at gathering materials and assembling the camp. I suppose the Primatives were the same way - when you live it, you just know exactly what to do and just do it..

As a bowman myself, who has experience with bowfishing, I'm in awe that you used an *****ATLATL***** to spear an underwater, moving target while compensating for diffraction. How in God's name did you learn to do that? Practice????? Any superpowers???? XD
@DonnyDustsPaleoTracks
@DonnyDustsPaleoTracks Жыл бұрын
Thanks. To be honest...it was a bass just hanging out in pretty shallow water. I have take lots of fish over the years this way and just like bow fishing (i love bow fishing) you learn. I would say that its probably eaiser with a atlatl. Mt dart is six foot...so really i only have to throw 12-15 feet for this fish so only about two and some change of dart length. Practice is key!

@15:40 I’m wondering if that was a miss with the initial spear throw and then a little editing, reverse camera angle to show a fish on the spear. Usually, when you nail a fish with a spear, the spear doesn’t stick to the bottom of the lake or river because the fish prevents it from going all the way to the bottom. Not to mention getting a fish on the first spear throw. in my experience. just saying. Awesome content, your bushcraft skills are amazing. Especially the Flint napping.
