Stock up on honey. Literally never ever goes bad and is good for energy, wound cleaning, and has antibiotic properties. Needs to not be radiated or purified. Whiskey and Brandy are also brilliant for colds and flus and takes years to go bad.

I've been one of those old ladies with hard to find veins since I was in my teens. 😂 Lots of water, and I usually tell them I don't care how many times you try, just don't go fishing. I bruise badly, and that crap hurts. 😬

I told the Nurse who did that to me "Stop because it's like you're drilling for oil". Another Nurse gave me the tip of drinking a lot of water before you go to give plasma or just blood (ordinary blood test) as it makes the experience less painful.

Iam full of arthritis of the spine curvature of the spinal and spinal cord bulging discs i have no discs at the bottom of my back arthritis in my hips knees fibromyalgia etc i used to love giving blood but i had to give it up because of the strong meds iam on and thyroid problems it sucks been in so much pain everyday 24 7 it chances your life cant do things i used to years ago but you just have to get on with it but when i watch these videos i get a bit of relief from the pain as my mind it so enjoying these videos it sounds daft i know but you guys are amazing the way you help people you 2 have hearts of gold i watch from the uk makes my day watching you guys god bless.

Amy you are seriously one of my favourite people on the planet!! I admire how authentic you are, and I love your sense of humour. The girls are growing so quickly; Autumn's appearance has really matured in particular. My twins are almost 16 and Benjamin (who has always been bigger/taller) now looks like he's in his late teens/20. Mitchell is slighter of build and handsome as heck but looks more his age. In Ontario kids can get a drivers license at 16 - so I basically have till March 14th until I become a basket case!! How do we make time slow down for our 'babies'? I was in the ER one day and needed an IV. The nurse stuck me and moved the needle around and hit a nerve! It was like lightning shooting down my arm and into my hand! Was the worst pain EVER! Neave and Autumn are adorable!

You're not alone with the plasma needle digging, I hate that!! For medical prepping, honey, fish antibiotics or other animal antibiotics and some herbs have antibiotics and antiviral and also immune boosting properties. The preponderance of the info relating to the new novel coronavirus is the best thing for it is boosting the inmmune system to prevent getting it. Use elderberry syrup, honey and echinacea to stave off the flu. I loved the vintage cardigans!

I used to get iron infusions a few years ago because my iron was so bad and that happened to me to where she wiggled the needle! Oh my God it freaked me out and hurt so bad too I get it. What I found out because they have a hard time finding a vein is you're not hydrated enough. Drink at least 2 quarts of water 3 if you can before you go at least an hour or two before. Hydrate yourself as much as you can. What also helps is a warming bag or heating bag on your arm to help bring the vein to the surface. They should have them there. People with tough skin they would use those on to. You're donating you have every right to ask for a little bit of help so it's not so painful. I hope this helps the next time you go just so you're prepared it makes it easier for you. I love your channel! Love you guys!

Amy, the diving is awesome but when you call it garbage it brings up a sad memorie when I was about 4yrs. We had an elderly couple in our neiborhood that would go in the alley on trash day and eat the garbage.Too young to get it but now it makes me sad. I would like to call it the "dumpster garden". Love that you get what you can salvage and donate as well. I pictured some fella that hasn't had a treat in awhile getting your granola bars or donuts. We are all still kids at heart and remember that feeling when we were lucky enough to get a sweet. Loved FD's face when you brought him the fish boxes. I wonder if you could find out from the pet store what day they get fish delivered and go by and get the box's. Never hurts to ask. Lowes and Home Depot have lighting boxes that are great. Great for moving and shipping. Your daughters are growing so fast. They are just lovely. You be safe.

I absolutely despise when health care professionals cannot "find" and stick you properly in the vein to take blood or whatever. There have been times where I was stuck 3 or 4 times with them digging around, then in the hand and even my foot to try to get blood. It was a miserable experience so I definitely understand what you are taking about. Great video! Enjoyed watching!

When you're donating if there's a person or people that stick you the best ask them if they're available to do it. They generally have no problem with it since they want to get you in and out quick.

One word...Hydroponics! I think FD can build u an area where u can grow food in the winter without any soil, just water and nutrients! Since u r a huge salad eater, you will get some gorgeous different types of lettuce that thrive!

I had 5 sticks at my Doctor's office this past week. The only thing that kept me from freaking out was this simultaneous discomfort of being hungry (fasting) and needing to pee (well hydrated). When I go to the hospital for my bi weekly blood test ( blood thinner) they get it in one try, no wiggling. I have three big purple bruises now. As bad as that all was, it is not as bad as dialysis three times a week with needles that are fountain pen nibs. Thank you for donating because I have had surgeries in the past and I required plasma.

Fish mox etc. pet stores or online. Do a search on youtube particularly preppernurse1 and patriot nurse. They have vids.

Canned food in totes organized. Grow tomatoes in a decorative planter starting inside in early spring. Beautiful babies!

God bless, I have had to have 6 blood transfusions, without folks like you I would have died. My problem and internal bleeding was finally fixed with an operation so I am now well, but it was a very difficult 8 years, without them being able to diagnosing what was happening to me.

Hellooooo FM, to clean the shoes, I do the following, Eucalyptus oil, just dab onto a cotton ball and clean the shoes, i also use a couple drops in the washing machine when doing the towels, a couple drops in a bucket with boiled water to mop the floors, ( tip: boiling water to mop makes the floors dry faster), or so I have noticed, you can add a couple drops into a spray bottle & top up with water to make a room freshener too. Just remember, less is more, it can be strong and overpowering if you use too much in one go, but heck, the aroma will only be for a few minutes and the item you used it on with be CLEAN, only a couple drops. So many ways it can be used. Side note - the hospitals use this too. You can use your hand sani. as well, but the alcohol in it can ruin some shoes, ( yes, I tried it, lets just say the shoe kind of fell apart after that). I also use this stuff called Nilodor, it's a tine bottle, but all you need is 1-2 drops on a cotton ball and clean the shoe, it does the same as the eucalyptus does, if I run out of one I use the other, these are my goto for cleaning shoes, they both deodorise and kill germs, great for sneakers or boots, oh and uggies too, i have used them on my uggies. Just a few ideas, hope this helps.

When they can't obtain your blood sample and they have the needle in your vein wiggling it around it's called fishing. And yes it hurts. It hurts worse than if they would just take the needle out and re-stick you. I was a nurse for 35 years and for my patients whom I had difficulty in obtaining a blood sample I would fill up a glove with hot water and tie it off and place it over the vein until the vein popped up. This really does work. I used to have excellent veins until I had a cervical spine injury and now my veins are terrible and I do not even let anyone come near me with a needle until I get them to get me a glove full of hot water and I hold it on my vein until it pops up. And I don't allow them to fish for the vein I will tell them take the needle out and re-stick me. As a patient you have a right not to allow them to fish around for the vein.

My veins are tiny & the nurses have destroyed my veins over the years & they always say drink tons of water the day/night before so they will be pumped up & last week the nurse said lift some weights, and I am like I would if I had the energy. And yes I feel your pain when they wiggle that dang needle, I hate it. I am sure your little girl loved the skirt, you prob will want to add more tutu's to make it more JoJo for her lol. It fit pretty good I think. but yes I agree thrift stores have gone bonkers with their Price's. Wow awesome to find the steamer might be good for colds for all. I too love miracle whip however because of the sugar I had to stop eating it. Hot water & soap will clean shoes for me & then if anyone was still worried spray with Lysol it's suppose to kill germs lol. Looked to me like some nice clothes & I agree a lot of women could cover up more. Wow that is a huge wreath very nice. Did the computer work? Frugal Mommy, I'd clean the basement, put all survival food, supplies, bedding. In case of emergency, you may not get upstairs. My ex always had his supplies in a section of the basement. Those boxes with Styrofoam box inside w/lid? We kept all our food, candles, matches, etc in them. We got them from pet store that carried fish. I went every week. LOVE YOU & FRUGAL DADDY!

Amy I am considered a “hard stick” so I have been told to hydrate b4 a blood test &;it has proven to be the answer for me !!!!!

I used to give blood. I finally had to stop. I had open heart surgery and my veins are awful. They had to use ultrasound to find a vein. I do remember once being told to make sure you are hydrated.

I have a facial steamer but we use it when we get sick. It is wonderful when you are congested.

We're prepares and it hard to for everything that could possibly go wrong but we have tarps, plastic sheets, and duct tape so we can seal ourselves off from whatever virus is killing people off. You can never be too prepared.
