I just found four channel and i wish i had someone like you as a teacher at their age.... the interactive element in your classroom is great. The way you turn worksheets into a “game” element is soooo smart and engaging and makes learning so fun. You’re so fun to watch! & your students are lucky to have a great teacher!!

This is what teaching and learning should be .. I literally geared up at your enthusiasm to get the kids engaged and moving. 🥺🙌🏼 You remind me of the amazing teachers I had growing up, and the kind I hope every child gets. Keep doing you! 👩🏫💕

Declarative, Interrogative, Exclamatory, Imperative -- My second graders loved using these "big" words when identifying the 4 types of sentences, and they mastered them well. Just an idea.:)
@DebZaragoza5 жыл бұрын
I teach 3rd also, and we have been learning this very thing. I thought about using the more "academic vocabulary" terms on the papers that could be posted, then as they write the punctuation on their white boards, and then go to the corners, they are relating the sentences with the Declarative, Interrogative, Exclamatory, Imperative terms. Great video, thank you for sharing your ideas!

You can reuse the idea of the 4 corners for your lesson about types of sentences by having the students work in groups and make their own sentences for each category. You can give them some topics or some words to help them start their sentences. They can write one sentence on an anchor chart and rotate to another station to write one sentence in another category and so on. It makes them move and work collaboratively.

Excellent vlog, beautiful lady! My 3rd-grade year was the academic 1987-1988 year. I was attending Pauline Jones Elementary School in Fayetteville, N.C. I was in the special-education classroom, but I started constantly mainstreaming into my regular education. I was 9 to 10 years old. I now know how multiplication goes. For an example, "7 days a week" times "24 hours a day" equals "168 hours a week". For another example, "5 miles" times "5,280 feet a mile" equals "26,400 feet". I love elementary school math. I'm subscribed to your channel because I remember about my school in Fayetteville. 😃💗😃💗😃💗

How do you introduce students cheering for each other when you compliment someone? How do the kids do it all at the same time? Do you signal them that it's the time to do it? It sounds like a good idea and I'm hoping to try it out in my class! Thanks for such great contents always!!
@hellomissromeo5 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much for the kind words! I will model it the first few weeks of school, like when someone does something well or gets an answer right or contributes in some way, they can say "Awesome job, so and so!" or things along those lines. Now one student will usually start it off and then everyone else will repeat it! It definitely takes some time, but it's so special to watch!
