This is a day in the life of a Georgia Tech college student! I am a freshman CS major at Georgia Tech, and I thought I'd show you what my average day looks like from morning to night. Ugh!! Seeing linear algebra gave me shivers. I'm taking linear algebra this semester and of all the upper level math classes I've taken, I can say it is the only one class I really don't understand. I'm a transfer student from Chicago and I don't know why I need that class to be considered for admission into the MechE dept. at GT in fall, I hope I get accepted though. Btw, this is a great video.

Heyy I loved seeing this video!! Do you have 3 classes per day? I've some other questions too :) How do you manage your time with studying/hanging out/watching tv? I wish life was this easy for some. As for me it wouldn’t be, my schedule would have to add on work. I’d have to do class in the mornings and work during the evenings. Forget dorms, I’d be at my house, where I pay rent, not to mention dealing with Atlanta traffic back and forth :( Georgia tech does seem nice but it’s surrounding neighborhoods can be not so good, whether it’s Bankhead on the west or expensive living on the east.

Which dorms have gyms?!?! I need to be in one of those. I was in Fitten, and though there were exercise machines on every floor, I'm pretty sure there was no formal gym.

Hey, great video! I am a junior and really want to attend tech! My gpa is below their average but I have a 36 act and lots of community service/clubs, what can I do this summer/next year to maximize my chances? I am planning on taking ap calc/physics c /econ/lit/medical internship in order to demonstrate rigor and show my good grades by the time RD rolls around, what else can I do?

Hey, I'm going to be a CS major when I come there this fall. Should I pick my residence hall on East or West. I hear everyone's classes are closer on East campus except for CS majors. Is that true? I don't really care about the quiet vs loud aspect of it, I just really care about the walks and rides

Congrats on your acceptance!! Yes, it's true that CS majors classes are mainly on West campus, but as a first year, depending on how many credits you come in with, you will most likely be taking general classes, so it does not matter too much if you live on East or West. Both semesters, half of my classes have been on East and the other half on West, and I live on West and have had no problem with making it on time to my East classes!

Treasure C get at least a 32 on your ACT and apply early action and be in a lot of clubs with community service. Also have good essays. I just got accepted to Georgia Tech but I don't know if I'll be able to go because of the cost. I haven't heard back about financial aide yet.

Thank you! I would say try to apply early action, strive to score well on your SAT & ACT, & try to take/have taken calculus during/by your senior year! For clubs & extra curriculars, you don't have to be the apart of every club--focus on a few clubs you're passionate about, so you can write about those clubs in your essays! Good luck on applying :)

Obi the first two semesters are very demanding and you will be kicked out if your grades don’t stay up. 2 of my cousins were kicked out and it’s why I recommend doing your first 2 semesters at another college then transferring

Very late comment as this video was posted in early 2017, but I'm a junior in high school (in Georgia!) and I'm seriously considering Georgia Tech for Aerospace Engineering. Could you give any tips for the application process and your test stores/GPA? It would be greatly appreciated, as all the info I've received is generically found on google; I'd love to hear from an actual student.

GPA and SAT requirements aren't that high compared to similarly ranked universities. I'd say a 1400 is good. In your essay about why do you want to attend GA Tech, choose a professor in your field of study and talk about why his work resonates with your application or something like that.

Hey! Don't worry about college too much right now!! Yes, its hard, fun, & stressful all at the same time, but you have about four years until you really have to start thinking about what college you want to go to or even if you want to go to college. In middle school, I honestly didn't even think about college, so theres nothing to worry about now :))

@@adebs I graduated high school on June 3rd, and in August, I will be attending MU of PA, majoring in CS as well, coincidentally. I took your advice and waited, honestly, until the last minute to think about college. 😅 Time is running out until the day I start classes, and I just remembered the impact your comment had on me, and went looking to find it. I'm very excited to begin this new chapter in my life. Glancing at your recent videos on your channel, it seems you're doing very well for yourself. Huge kudos! East campus is closer to most things, west is a bit quieter. I personally prefer east campus.

I lived on west. I liked it. Quieter. Nicer dorms. It’s a matter of preference. When I lived on east campus there were a lot of temptations to escape to a party or three.

Button Bunny their middle 50% ACT is 31-35 and the middle 50% for number of AP classes is 8-11. The acceptance rate it 15%. More information can be found on their website quite readily.

Acceptance rate differs if you're in state or out of state. Easier if you're instate by like 30%

ElsieBarry instate acceptance rate is actually 45% for 2017 instate applicants! I think the 15% applies to out of state.

MWF classes are typically 50 minutes while Tuesday/Thursday classes are 1 hour 20 minutes! :)
