Great and informative video! Thank you so much 🙏 I had one question regarding the European Studies programme: Do you have to study a foreign language in the curriculum? If yes, from which languages can you choose from? Thanks again, can’t wait for your answer!
@sofasosUM
@sofasosUM 2 жыл бұрын
Yes you do have to take a mandatory language course in the second year of European studies which lasts for two periods (4&5). You have many choices: French, Spanish, Italian, German, Dutch, Arabic, Chinese, Portuguese and Russian. And for every language we have different levels (from A1 to C1). At the end of the course you have an exam which involves tests for reading, writing, listening and speaking. If you are successful you receive a certificate issued by Maastricht University with our grade from 1-10 which will also be part of your GPA.

I’m currently a first year at university of Amsterdam and sadly I’m not enjoying my course so I was thinking on applying for your programme. How much European history and sociology do you actually do? Cause I read in the universities web that it is taught but I want to hear your opinion on this :)

I really recommend you contact the ambassador on Instagram @bacheloreuropeanstudies for she will provide you with the latest details. Matilda is about to graduate and the program has changed a lot by now. So her experience will be different than yours.

Hi! Unfortunately I cannot give you concrete advice on admission to other institutions as I don't have enough knowledge, but I'll try my best. Usually, you need to search for universities with programs you like. After you find some suitable universities, you should check their application procedure. In Europe, from what I know, it's after you fill our a university application and get accepted that you start the visa process since you'd need proof of acceptance to get a student visa. The university usually helps out with the visa process. Hope this helps!

It looks really a great study programme! But one question: what about the costs? What can you say to me? For example you get a scholarship or something or not?
@sofasosUM
@sofasosUM 2 жыл бұрын
Hi! For students from the EU, its around 2.000 euros while for internationals, its 8000 errors per year! Though during covid they made reductions. For scholarship information, visit the university's website where they have a section for on scholarships and financial aid and who's eligible.

@Dietmar Wohlleben wrong. stop copying everything under every video. Your infos are from 2005 or something. 1st year is now minimum 2.000€ and not 1.1k.

A tutorial is 2 hours long with a 10 minute break in between. But we only have 4 tutorials / week so 2 hours is not a lot
