How easy is it to make friends at Gonzaga? Are students welcoming? Do you have any info on the political science program and how is the food

Everyone's college experience is going to be different. But in my experience, it was easy to make friends at Gonzaga if you put yourself out there and join things you are interested in. I got close to people in my res hall as well as some clubs I was a part of and a lot of people end up living with their dorm mates for 4 years. Gonzaga is also a smaller school so it's easy to get to know people and see them around campus. I just graduated and visited Spokane last weekend and stayed with current Zags I'm still friends with today. I can't speak much about the poli sci program but have a couple friends in it. Food is good, especially compared to other schools. Doesn't hurt that the COG is unlimited, and weekend brunch was my favorite. You also get bulldog bucks which you can use in the surrounding restaurants.

Hii! Firstly, I really loved your vlog😍. And I would like to know if Gonzaga uni provide great support for internships and career network
@ryancastillo4352 жыл бұрын
Hey, thanks, I appreciate it! I would say GU provides great support for internships. Our alumni network is always willing to help current students and every year the career center puts on treks in cities like Seattle, Portland, SF, NYC, etc. for students to network with Alumni. With that being said you definitely have to put in work, get involved, present yourself well, and network, but a good amount of students land internships at great companies, and the career center is available to students for support.

What would you say about the history or music department? I am thinking about majoring in history but also being in the band program.
@ryancastillo4353 жыл бұрын
Hey Nick -- I'm probably not the best person to answer this question as I wasn't a history major and wasn't in band. My freshman roommate was a history major and he seemed to really enjoy it. Also, our band is great. I had a couple of friends in band and they play at all our games. We just built a new state-of-the-art performing art center so that's pretty cool.

Is it good to do religious studies there.
@ryancastillo4353 жыл бұрын
Hey! Personally, I was not a religious studies major so I can't speak towards the program, however, I do know a couple of people who took religious studies major as a second major who loved it. What I can say is that under the new core, students are required to take two religion courses. A world religion and a Christian/catholic religion. I took political theology and world spirituality (abroad in Florence) and really enjoyed both of them. I also took Jesuit Education as my first-year seminar and it ended up being one of my favorite classes. We have some pretty good teachers in the religion department.

What is your major and is the university big
@ryancastillo4353 жыл бұрын
Hey Desmond. I graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration and I would say we are on the smaller side. A little over 5,000 undergraduate students. Kind of one of those schools where you walk outside and you're guaranteed to see at least one person you know.
