It goes without question that we adore you and always have for these many, many years. This was a wonderful update on all fronts, but especially hearing you are feeling a lot better in yourself about your personal doctoral journey. It can be a real roller coaster and we are extremely proud of you for continuing to stick it out and learn from and grow from it. Congratulations, again, on your academic award! Of course you deserve it and so much more! Looking forward to continuing to see your development on all fronts! We love you and F like daughters from another mother and father! Speaking of which, today is American Mother’s Day and I am enjoying a relaxing, peaceful day with many family and friends reaching out to wish me a Happy day so it has been beautiful. Vee, a PhD is a not a Bachelor nor a Master's degree and it becomes more difficult and the professors have high expectations. I am so glad that you received such high marks in your two assignments. Now that you know what to do, I am sure that you will excel in your PhD. I congratulate for receiving your Student's Award.

yesss to all of this, leaving things to the last minute is a recipe for burn out and upset! it works until it doesn't and when it stops working it can be really hard to change. Drafting and revision is the new black

I had an interview that didn’t work out last week and been feeling very down about it. Thank you for being vulnerable and sharing your story. It is what I needed to hear to keep fighting. And everyone in the comments who have also shared. Thank you for sharing guys ❤

Awww sorry to hear that it didn't work out :( .. you are allowed to have a moment to be sad about it bestie but always remember rejection is redirection. So do not let this get you down to much! You have to keep trying and eventually what is meant for you will be

I also want to chip in on the love for Zotero. If you work with the document in the desktop app you can highlight and directly import your annotations as notes (with automatic page numbers for each annotation!!) 😁😁Its super useful especially as you likely will be using some sources again and again as you progress with your PhD so you can basically create a searchable collection of everything you ever highlighted for your project. You can also create custom tags that add a little colour marker before titles (I use Read, NTR for need to read, and WTR for want to read) to structure your lit reviews ☺ And thank you for being so open about the struggles of the PhD, we all go through it - its not just about validation and encouragement anymore but sometimes what feels like crushing feedback is really just our professors simply pointing out that some parts need a little bit more attention if we are to make a contribution to the field ❤

You'll feel much better planning out your writing assignments and taking your time with them. I have completed my bachelors but i dont have money to continue my education my grades are not better enough to have a merit based scholarship but i want to do a master degree and a phd but i dont have a chance for it
