How well put ."Even with so much economical difficulties,the Cuban people keeps their Dignity and pride"....Very beautiful the Sunsets in Havana,full of nostalgic,melancholy and love.....I like this video very much, I enjoy the old antique architecture in Cuba ,so majestic,and elegant,artistic,and great!!! .I wish to visit Cuba now when things are simple and gay,very soon the oportunistic people will take it over and charge mad money to visit Cuba and eat and stay at a hotel.... Now still they have vulnerability,simplicity and natural beauty.No matter hardships the people of Cuba are happy people,praying always for my lovely Cuba!!!

Rick Wilbur Ummmm no. He saved his people from the slavery of USA. And most of the people in Cuba loved the things he did because he created big opportunities for the poor people. Millions of children started to go to school, more than 100k teacher started to work as volunteers. He increased the number of hospitals 4 times in less than 5 years. And the most important thing is he took the lands of Cuba back and gave it to its REAL owner, the villagers (not USA). That is the real truth. Stop blaming Fidel Castro.
@americana_incarnate1717
@americana_incarnate1717 5 жыл бұрын
@@themindbenderr umm you do realize that after the Spanish-American war Cuba was given independence, yes there was some questionable actions by US organizations but it was Castro and the communists that made Cuba what it is today. And those hospitals he opened well the politicians go to other nations for treatments.

I was in Havana in 2018, a bit more shine and polish in the tourist areas due to the influx of American tourists with the cruise ships. It's a shame the current WH cut off relationship again. You could see at least some individual prosperity due to the opening to the US. We went to a jazz concert of Roberto Fonseca - brilliant musicians in Cuba, purchased street art and crafts, tipped individuals in the street, tried to help as much as we could. No more. It's a shame! The spirit of Cubans is amazing!

What a beautiful city, absolutely amazing architecture and well shot. I have to say though, that the region of Havana you mention isn't that out of the ordinary, not just in Cuba. Go to major cities like Detroit, Washington DC or Mexico City and you'll find people on food stamps in similar if not worse conditions. I'm just saying, try not to put too much political slant on this.

I have not been to Detroit or similar, however I have spent a lot of time in Havana, living with a Cuban family. I am pretty sure the conditions they endure are way beyond all but the very poorest in the US. Don't forget this poverty is for virtually 80-90% of the population, the ones that do not have family outside of Cuba and have no access to extra money. $20 a month is the salary but bear in mind food prices are for the most part similar to Latin America so $20 does not go very far.

I don't see any seriously abject poverty. And how they have kept those 50's cars in that great of condition is beyond me, even if they haven't left the island in all that time!

+Jon Stewart I dont believe education and health care are free there when you earn 15-20 a month for your work, I gues they are taking a loooot of money on the taxes, it should be the best healthcare and education in the world, but trust me they are both really bad, some turn of events made me be able to leave cuba when i was 16 to live in spain and I had a lot of trouble adapting to the new education system and requirements and I was a very good student back in cuba, and dont even get me started on healthcare. The thing is that people only hear the cuban version of it, but it is not like that, you have to listen to the day to day cuban so you can know the actual truth of the life there!

Hi there, we've been enjoying watching this. We film 4k walks in cities, and have just filmed some walks in Cuba, so it's especially interesting to see your viewpoint, thank you for taking the time to add it. If you'd like to subscribe to each other, we'd be happy with that too? Look forward to seeing more from you.
