If Iowa can keep the offense on the field and allow the D to rest, we have the opportunity to be a better D than last year. I mean they played over 90 plays against Penn st. and they had to overcome some bad breaks aginst Mich. Look at the scoring drives for Mich, one on a great punt return was about 5 or 6 yards and one on a, what I call a bad call, of 5 yards. I still think that call was wrong for two reasons, his hand was moving forward and the Mich player picked the ball to hand to the ref, he didnt try to advance it or jump on it to cover it. Just like Cooper DeJean on the punt return, the players hit him after he the catch and they wiuldnt do that if it was fair caught. Just sayin.

Gotta give them credit, they know what they’re doing even if the offense doesn’t help. That defense is crazy

@@JoeBroback Yes it is, and don’t forget their special teams. Nothing is more infuriating than losing to Iowa even though you’ve statistically out performed them.

That’s what happens when they repeatedly have a cupcake schedule and play nobody. Hence why last year, they won 9-10 games but for absolutely blown out in all their games against ranked teams. They got outscored 92-0 against ranked teams. That’s why nobody takes them seriously. Their games are sooooooo boring to watch lol.

Until recently, Ferentz seemed to hold more power at the school than the AD while Barta was there. I think that's changing now with the new AD. It needs to for Iowa to evolve and stay competitive.
