I saw a limited gold version at my local hobby shop in Sydney a guy bought it in to get some parts for it and a new kit. It was the coolest rc model ever.

I have been fawning over the Fantoms for six months, but couldn't find one. (There might be one in Perth, WA, mates.) I was talking to my local hobby store on a Saturday and they said the CRC was dropping Wednesday and I said take my money! LHS called me that Friday and I'm now the proud owner of a CRC! Its a Christmas prezzie from my wife, so I have to wait, but oh, man, I'm soooo excited! Like you, Gavin, I have never had a pan car, but it looks so fun!

Congratulations on getting your hands on one. A fun little build for sure and a great looking pan car. If you can get a chance to run it you will be surprised how easy it is to drive.

Kyosho released the Le Mans 480 Gold BLS 21.5 for these pan cars... that 240 Gold is more for the Optimas .... Great video👍

That's an absolutely beautiful car. I wonder if off the shelf foam tyres from the likes of Kamtec / Mardave and Contact RC can fit it? The wheels look great. Bear in mind folks - the pedigree comes from 1/12 competition pan car racing - So a 13.5t could be very nice in a Fantom married to a 1s race set-up: low volts, high amps, and light agility. That's the environment I reckon the Fantom is designed to shine in. Admitedly, 1s is an awkward set up fiddle for someone who's not an existing LMP, Gt12 or Mardave - Kamtec hotrod racer with a smooth circuit or indoor carpet track nearby. Regardless if they're racing machines, casual runners or shelf queens, those Fantoms are lovely.

I gotta go to work. So I'll watch this again later this evening. But right now, this RCKicks episode I'm thinking is my "best of year." Your foot work on finding Kyosho parts, take a victory lap! I got my re re optima. Then I bought in a Fazer........😐 These cars look great.

This is awesome. I was a huge Kyosho fan in the late eighties to mid ninties. My favorite car was the nitro 1/8th scale F1 car. It was fun. Tamiya TGX 4wd chassis kit was the best.

Hi Gav can you do a video on the ftx kanyon maybe do some upgrade would love to see you do one as it would be be something different and would help a lot of us kanyon fan on what actually can be done with one but what ever you do don't stop what your doing great content 100%the best rc videos on KZfaq keep it up mate

Liquid Mask is your friend, Gav. Give it a shot... no less than 4 coats.

Hey Gave, i wouldn't put a 13.5 turn motor into a pan car that would be crazy fast. Stay with 21.5 turn one. Try liquid mask for the celica, apply it like recommended and then score t it very carefully with your hobby knife to remove it form the not desired areas. Keep the builds coming :)

I'm curious about the CRC! I was with the mob that just thought it was a different paintjob on the Phantom. Fingers crossed for the rear of that Celica and that it doesn't end up like my replica TeamC body...🤞🤞🤞

I know, a super difficult part to get sharp looking. At first glance it does look the same and so did I. I’m happy to report it’s different enough for Fantom fans to get the CRC-II.

I had the Kyosho Spada 09 which was the nitro version of this Fantom. Mental fast but really messy!

Looks nice.😘At least you can show us some of the parts and be able to put them back in the box lol…The box contents is totally the opposite to Schumacher Rc.Been tempting to get my first Pan Car.

How are 4wd models in this scale not more popular? I have the Fantom EP and the performance and drivability is great on a nice surface, far easier than a competition grade 2wd pan car. I just wish Kyosho had done a redesign so that it is belt driven and not chain. Whilst the chain does work well in a retro kind of way it is still naff for regular running. It does slacken, picks up debris and does wear the battery casing over time. The Fantom EP would be much better for regular use and racing with a belt.

A belt conversion kit would have been a good idea for people who want to run them hard for sure. This could be one for an after market company to do.

I know you are in the UK and im in the US but have you heard anything about the new TT02 SRX and when they plan on releasing that car. Great channel. I am a huge Tamiya fan and growing my collection.

Your USD is incorrect. This kit sells for $269.99 USD on the Kyosho USA website.

No it’s correct, you just didn’t read it right. UK Price … The conversions are the UK price into USD. Also what it sells for in each country is different and in the US the price is different from State to State due to tax implication differences. Also the RRP price is normally different to what you can purchase it for at your local store or online reseller. The UK price tends to be the most expensive vs the other countries, so it will normally be less as we are stupid in the UK and are happy to pay more than everyone else for some random reason. It’s just a rough guide, nothing more. 👍🏻👍🏻😉

@@RCKickschannel - I’m not familiar with retail pricing outside of the US but here in the States most people will always go for the lower price which in this case is $269.99 online. Some local hobby shops may bump that up another $10USD to $279.99. That only tends to happen when there is a short supply. My local shop and Kyosho USA are selling it for $269.99 with the only variable being sales tax since that has a range 0-8% of the purchase price depending on which the State the person lives. I live in Pennsylvania so I pay 6%. If I drove an hour south to the State of Delaware I wouldn’t pay any sales tax and would have gotten it for $269.99 out the door.

Not sure what you have done in your studio but that blue light is reflecting off everything making the pictures crappy plus your sound seems to have gone to pot in the last week or so ??!! Maybe it’s just me ??
