The botox helps, for sure. But the Retinoid she mentioned also does wonders for your skin. Adding Vitamin A into your routine (a Retinoid, NOT a Retinol which is over-the-counter) is fantastic. I went on 'HelloDoctor' and paid $30 to have a doctor right me a 3 month prescription for 0.05% Tretinoin (Retinoid) cream. I did my research and had talked to a dermatologist friend. My skin has been wow. Don't get me wrong, you'll still get the pimple every so often. But my skin is smooth, the texture is better, fine lines aren't as noticeable, and it purged ALL my closed someone's around my chin. If you can get past the purging that most people experience, it is a game changer. I constantly get complimented on my skin and it is the first thing I tell people about, even before Niacinomide (which is also a power-house addition to your skincare routine). Now is as good of a time as any to start using a retinoid, because if you do purge, at least we're all locked up and you can wear a face mask to cover some of it!

Dr. Idriss is so awesome. I started following her after watching the Allure video last year. Her Pillowtalk derm sessions are so informative, she’s so honest and easygoing, you feel like you’re asking a friend for skincare tips. She would take the time to answer DMs, she has the best stickers on her stories. Definitely one of the nicest “influencers” there is.

Ten years ago when I was teaching a nursing class, one of my student aides was telling me her mom is a pharmacist and if I wanted to try a sample of her moisturizer that she wants to try to get on the market. Went to see a top dermatologist who does research in eczema and psoriasis. I asked him if any of the products selling at Sephora are effective. He told me these products are usually just filled with scent, cooling effects etc...that are overpriced. You just need a non greasy moisturizer like base glaxal which is usually the base for any moisturizer selling at Sephora. They just add other effects to it that you don’t really need. Good sleep, drinking lots of water, nutrition and exercise are way more effective. Unfortunately, genetics play a huge role as well. All in all, expensive skincare is really good at marketing to women.

They exist. Sunscreens with iron oxide. They're usually mineral tinted sunscreens.

The Aveeno Eczema night cream for baby’s. I’m not a baby but I’ve been using it since my mom Gad my youngest brother. It’s my go to for skin creams. It makes my skin so soft and it’s very mild on the skin
