When I bought my Tekton Moabs, I ordered a Hint 6 as a placeholder and to get a taste of Parasound, as they had been recommended by the owner of Tekton Design. It was shockingly good, let alone at its price point and/or for being an all in one. All out resolution wasn't on par with higher end separates, I would try later, but the over all signature kept bringing me back. After trying several things, including tubes and also upgrading the speakers' internals and room treatment along the way, I finally 'gave up' and stuck with Parasound. I'm now running a JC2 and JC5 stack along with an Audio-GD R7-HE DAC and this is my end game for the foreseeable future. I am VERY happy with my system. Haven't actually heard the A2, but anything sitting between the Hint 6 and JC5 is going to sound very good. And when I say the JC5 is good, well, it's more holographic than my tube amp, more dynamic than anything I've heard, more detailed than even Schiit Tyr monoblocks, almost as quiet as a Benchmark AHB2 and all with a very pleasing, slightly warm and very rich overall presentation. It clearly has more bass grunt than most other amps, but the control is extremely tight. Imaging is so spot on, I feel I can reach out and touch all of the instruments.

A year ago, I bought used an A21 and a Parasound P5 preamp. Was coming from a 30 year old Sony receiver and Jenson speakers of the same vintage. Paired the Parasound equipment with Martin Logan 60XT floor-standing speakers. Didn’t know if I needed them, but I added two SVS 2000 subwoofers. I cannot complain at all about the sound I have now. I really like Parasound and just added an old Parasound t3 tuner, which was a definite improvement over the old Fisher tuner I had. I hear that the P6 preamp would be an improvement over the P5 but haven’t felt the need to spend the $1400 for that yet. I play records and CD’s - haven’t streamed much yet, but that is an option.

The A21 is superb. Driving my Dynaudio Contour S5.4s to stunning effect. The bass is so real and energetic and reaches so low i had to check 2x that the sub was turned off. I just replaced my Bryston 4B3 with the A21; the A21 is far superior to the 4B3 in my room with these 4 ohm speakers. I did not expect that! The build quality far exceeds what I expected at this price point; I have had several very nice amps with these speakers: Bryston 4bsst2, 4b3, Aragon 8002, Pass Labs X250.5, Plinius SA102. The A21 is a winner. I don't even want to dream about the JC-1 or the new JC-5; A real sleeper of an amp! Kudos Parasound for bringing such an amazing piece at a super high value price point!

His last statement is false, it is not the last amplifier you will want to buy, it forced me to also by an A51 and (2) A23's to drive my theater lol..

For me the Halo A21 is a gateway towards seriously good hi end reproduction. I bought new with a Halo P5 and have now added a. JC3 + phono preamp for myVPI Prime. This is a sweet and detailed and layered sounding system. Now I’m looking at a JC2 preamp to get the full resolution of the A21. Its that good.

I think I will upgrade my Adcom 555 with this beast. Similar design inside to some degree. However the good news is the A21 was updated to the A21+ with better specs.

Need some help here. Bought a ZoneMaster 650 to connect all my 8 Speakers 1 Center & 1 Sub. want to connect one or two devices (Which ever will give better sound performance ). Which other device do i need between (JC5 Power Amp & P7 Preamp) to achieve this ?

I've always went with just Pioneer/Yamaha amps but I've never listened to a Parasound but I'd sure like to have that one in my living room just got a nice 2 channel Pioneer elite class A/B hi-res network receiver that has 2 preouts and 2 subwoofer preouts it has A large 85watt class AB amp but I could just run it as a preamp also and it is Bluetooth/wifi Flac files lossless files awesome built in dac would the Parasound Be a good match ?

Bipolars can suffer a thermal runaway and do need much additional circuitry to keep them healthy in contrast with MOSFETS or Tubes. Simple circuitry tend to sound better and that's why a lot of audio designers prefer to work with MOSFETS and/or vacuum tubes. It's a catch phrase often used in the audio business: "this solid state amp sounds more like a tube amp.." Well if that's a goal to strive for then just look for the real thing and buy a tube amp or a hybrid like signaltubes in the predriverstage an MOSFETS for drivers and outputstages.
