3 years ago I saw his Jersey in a sport shop and it was 30 bucks. I with my friend and joked about how he was a great Husky QB and the cashier heard me and asked if I was going to by it. I said for 10 bucks maybe. He said sure and I still have it to this day.

Jake’s doing lots of good stuff for Whatcom County youth sports in his “retirement” - super active in the community up here in the NW. I worked on a video project with a guy that shoots all the video interviews for Monday night football. He said something along the lines that “Jake was his favorite because he was the only play after 10+ years to offer to help carry gear after his shoot.” He didn’t want to miss his kids childhood being a backup. A lot of respect to that.

Jake Locker will forever have a special place in my heart as a Husky fan. He single handedly beat Bellevue High School for state championship breaking their 8 year or something like it winning streak. His junior year he came up just short. Then he stays home as the #1 recruited QB in the country for a team that won 1 game in 2 years. Then he gets a vertebra broken in his neck his sophomore year and he still returned for 2 more years when he could have been the #1 pick. He was one of the toughest quarterbacks ever period. I hope he is enjoying his weekends fishing on the Nooksack river or Bellingham Bay. Thanks for the help making UW football relevant again. Classic case of, he should have come out the year before.... He'd have been the #1 pick.... A team would have (in all likelihood) been committed to him in a far greater way than the Titans were to him.... Feels like he really could have had a Matt Ryan type career, if he had been in the right situation.... Now, I'm not gonna lie, I also give huge respect to just walking away.... I'm sure the pressure on him from his agent, business people, etc etc was immense... Probably the hardest thing, to say "Nah, I'm out."

I've got OCD about the 2011 draft because it was so stacked when it happened (and still is considering Cam, Von, AJ, Julio, Pat Peterson, JJ, etc.) but then there's Jake Locker, Blaine Gabbert (illustrious backup journeyman career notwithstanding), and Christian Ponder (among others - Jonathan Baldwin stands out) who didn't pan out in the long run or at all. 2012 had a few in the first round who didn't pan out, too - Richardson and Blackmon both in the top 5 and then AJ Jenkins. A vid on Richardson and one on Blackmon would be great.

Kevin Kolb might be interesting? Aldon Smith would be super scandalous. Maybe a video of guys that retired at the top of their game would be a cool one to... Calvin Johnson, Andrew Luck, Patrick Willis etc.

Dude I was AT that BYU game and that call was such bull. Darrel Harris also got injured that game and I watched his mom sprint past security to go make sure her son was ok. The entire crowd cheered her on.

I too would no longer have a burning desire to play football if I was drafted by the Titans.

I don’t think he’s considered a bust, but Brandon Lloyd had a very weird career and I’d love to see a video on him. JJ Stokes could be a good draft bust video

I'll never forget the greatest game i ever got to see in person: Jake Locker and Jermaine Kearse took down a top 5 USC team in Seattle. September 19th, 2009. I think Jake was always a better athlete than football player, he's definitely a "what could have been" story.

My friends and I used to make bets on NFL games, either with betting places or against ourselves. Betting on Titans while Locker was playing was scary, every hit he took made me scared that he will be injured

I was at that Lions game. It was indeed nuts. Also, the replacement refs needed extra time with the reviews if I remember right.
