I didn't know Fulci and Argento didn't like one another for most of their careers. A collaboration between the two of them should've been the Capcom vs. SNK of eye zooming, eye gouging, brain splattering, gut munching madness with zombies, witches, masked slashers, and attractive Italian women. 8:15 - 8:25 I remember those Art University ads, they were on tv *all* the time in the 90s. The lead female character is insanely pretty, just had to throw that out there. Silly as it is, I have to admit a Victorian era killer automaton is pretty cool.

I just find it hilariously weird how they argued over the gore. Two Italian directors. Who both made a reputation in the UK for Gorn. You would think this movie would have gone above and beyond the "standard" gore in an Italian horror film. And instead one of them wanted LESS? This is about as disappointing for me as expecting Tommy Lee Jones to do a decent Two Face in 1995.

Mike, please do a small tribute to the late, great Roger Corman. Although his movies weren't great, they were quite entertaining

The neighborhood of make believe I love Mr Rogers neighborhood the reference brought back some good memories & also had me howling in laughter

Thanks for covering this. This movie doesn't get talked often and when it does it is usually only about the Fulci-Argento backstory. Personally I really like this neat little horror film that has great music, nice practical effects and some atmospheric scenes. Far better House of Wax remake than the 2005 one. Since you mentioned the late Julian Sands here's hoping you'll cover Argento's Phantom of the Opera one day.
