I have the Cush Craft A270105 dual band yagi. 5 elements on each band with one connector. I've been using it for at least 12 years with no problems.

Good quality, I can't reach my repeater from my handheld but haven't tried an external antenna yet. I'll have to make a note of that one.

I use the PA 144-432-21-3BP here in the UK on the RSGB UKAC Contests. It has certainly improved my signal strength, but more so, the reception. It is really good. Looking forward to the vid. 73, M7EGD.

It would of been nice if you did an A B Comparison it would of showed the gain difference in real time ... Maybe next time you can do that .. :)

Can I use the antenna on vhf alone, have a similar diamond 1430s7 model?

The IC-705 won't measure SWR correctly on vhf/uhf because, per the advanced manual, the output power has to be set to more than 5 watts to measure SWR. The IC-705 only puts out 5 watts on vhf/uhf.

Hey mate, click on M.Scope and then click on EXPD/SET button. Then scroll down until you find Center Type Display - change that to Carrier Point Center (Absolute Frequency). More info in this video here - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/hrp0hqllyr_RYn0.html

Usually SSB/CW is horizontal, FM is vertical
