Күн бұрынCoca-Cola is widely known as being a symbol of America. It was created by Dr. John Pemberton - a famous physician in the 1800s. When the Civil War hit, he tossed away his lab coat for a buttoned uniform and joined the army.
After getting caught in a direct line of fire, he was given a life-threatening drug to ease the pain for his last few hours.
But he miraculously survived and used his near-death experience to build Coca-Cola’s $74 billion dollar brand.

I've also read that Coke owes a lot of it's success to the fact that they made sure Coke would be advertised and sold in every gas station across America with a Coke machine out front, that way thirsty travelers not only bought it they also brought with them on their travels making it a familiar brand to everyone.

That could be reality soon coz underground rivers and natural water resources are abusively heavily exploited by soft drinks makers (coke being no 1) It takes 618 liters of fresh natural ground water to make 1 litre of high fructose corn syrup coca cola. That's just about water and I don't wanna start on co2 etc etc So basically what belongs to nature, the people, the future children's are snatched, exploited for free( no compensation for environmental issues) and sold back to you fans of corporates robbing future of coming generations.

Most people don't know it, but Coca-Cola actually created Santa Claus. Yeah there was already a Father Christmas or whatever, but Coke brought us Santa. Santa started out like the Energizer Bunny or the Frito Bandido, as a product character, then evolved into being a generic folk character no longer associated with just one product.

@@traceywilcox3108 Truth be told, even today in the South and East of Europe, that thing holds true, I mean, if you ask people in such regions, especially the ones with a lot of alcoholics you'll realize that they don't drink coke, which could be due to it containing sugar and caffeine and that doesn't mix nice with the old fashioned ways of the local street alcoholics and drunkards'

Coca-Cola used to be one of my former company's clients and they actually decorated our whole cafeteria with a 1950's diner theme using the Coca-Cola colors of red and white. It was literally like dining in a themed café. We had the bar stools, red and white vinyl tiles, red and white couches, Coca-Cola neon lights, etc. They also had a huge mural stuck on the office walls.

@@harryblaine9750 well....if you really know history WATER....is the deadliest drink out there. simply cuz u cant live without it. im native american, and my tribe fights with the raunchers over water rights like the sun rises every morning. its just become a part of life for us. but there is a quote that a lot of elders told me before... Whiskey is for drinking, water is for fighting.... im pretty sure mark twain actually coined it first. beleive it or not.

I remember the cooler chests filled with ice cold Cokes in glass bottles on hot summer days. I think a 12 oz. bottle was 15 cents in the 60's. 👍🏻😉✌🏻
