I don't understand why people say his lyrics don't make sense or that it's boring. You guys understand that he is 17 or 18 years old and already worked with awesome artists and toured worldwide. Every artist has to earn his miles as a musician first. AFRO is gonna develope more and more over the years. I personally am just glad that he is putting out so much great music. Long live A-F-R-O!!

Competition before A.F.R.O. even was a thing, I've enjoyed A.F.R.O.'s shit before there was even a hype around him so your statement about the hype being the reason to why I and many others like his music is straight up bullshit. If you don't like his shit that's cool, but to think your opinion is truth is wacker than a Vanilla Ice album where the vocals are fixed to be autotune only.

T3n50r you followed the competition. good for you. you were into him before the hype. good for you. to say that my statement is straight up bullshit is straight up bullshit. i'm 40, been a b-boy since 1985, hosted a 3 hour hip-hop radio show for 4 years in the 90's, i know my shit. afro is as overrated as vanilla ice was by the mainstream audiences back when he first came out. jimmy fallon believed the hype & had him on his show. he sucked. my advice to afro is forget freestyling & pick up a pen & a pad. to be completely honest with you, i'm a better mc than afro. i never 'made it' due to family obligations, but i opened up for krs-one back in 97, recorded 2 albums, & had my 15 minutes of fame. my voice, flow, & especially my lyrical content easily surpasses afro in terms of all around quality. 'jibberish' & 'on purpose' don't even rhyme. just like tech 9, afro is a novelty act.
