Fact: the evil potions in Dark Alchemy mini game are also considered plants though they boost the zombies. They are coded as underground plants so zombies will normally not eat them but only get boosted once they step on them (similar to the Iceberg lettuce or Spikeweed). This is why Gargs and other crushing zombies will smash the potions.

Another fun fact about fume shroom is that when you use the plant food before he pushes all the zombies you can see how he inflates and becomes transparent revealing all the liquid inside of him meaning he is basically a perfume hence the name

If you use plant food while he's eating, that head will be saved and throws back to zombies. As you saw Snap Pea eats 4 zombies. Good thing Thyme Warp and Gold leaf is now useable instead of being exclusive. Wont help that much in tournament tho. since is about how fast you cna take out zombies without delaying since thyme warp delays the zombie.

Scaredy Shroom was scrapped because a lot of the devs quit after Far Future was released

@@Hethatapproaches I meant the *original* scaredy shroom that was meant to be an adventure mode plant alongside many other scrapped shrooms that eventually made a return in non-shroomy forms (e.g. Thyme Warp). A big reason why Dark Ages is such a short world is because the dev team was pretty much in their own dark ages back then. Even so, the scaredy shroom that did come out eventually was a terrible idea. Maybe if Dark Ages turned out differently, Scaredy Shroom being an adventure mode plant would be somewhat useful, but because of how stupid the sun producers are in this game Scaredy Shroom is pretty much a useless plant with no benefits anywhere apart from having a plant food that can kill a single garg Imo it's just that a lot of the pvz1 plants do not work well in pvz2 because in pvz1 regular zombies are way more threatening, and the only decent pvz1 plants would be the instants like Squash and cherry bomb, Cactus which was completely changed, Puff Shroom and Fume Shroom to some extent, winter melon and Starfruit which was really underrated in pvz1. Scaredy Shroom had absolutely no reason to come back especially as a seedium the moment it was scrapped from Dark Ages. On a slightly related note, a lot of the 'mid' pvz2 plants like A.K.E.E. would probably be interesting to have in pvz1 for the reverse reason I also saw someone say that Scaredy Shroom's final art in the game looks really different from the rest of the game, like badly made fanart, and I agree too because I prefer it with beady eyes Altogether Dark Ages would have been a very different world if most of the devs never left after Far Future and I'd be very interested to see how it turned out. Right now Dark Ages is probably one of my least favourite worlds because of Jesters and the fact that the second half of the world is extremely short with not very interesting gimmicks
