The thing I don't like about the upgrading system is that plants' damage doesn't grow in equal scales. Eg peashooters' damage can grow about 5 times larger during levels, while cannons for example won't even double their dmg on the maxed lvl. That alters the balance and makes some plants weaker comparing to the others.

Honestly I think there should be the option to play the game old school by turning plant Levelling off, if that would work I see it satisfying everyone. A notification would pop up warning the player if they want to play the level without plant levelling, perhaps you can even choose which plants you like levelled up

I think one way to fix the issue of the level system is to make it so you can scale it yourself. I mean that you can still level up your plant, but there’s some sort of way to choose lower levels to be played with. Let’s say you got a level 20 peashooter. You have have an option to swap between level 1, 10, 20, 15, or any other level below what you have unlocked.

number one chinese leveling system each plant has a unique ability when leveled up but the max level is currently only five but it makes sense since its absolutely busted for example a level two peashooter has a 10% chance to fire 5 peas in quick succession leveling up only increases chance (each upgrade increases both health and damage by 20% no matter which plant or how broken it is) like the next attack will fire 5 peas instead of the regular one same goes for the other peashooter variants except the gatling pea has a 15% chance to split into other lanes

In Chinese version every next level increases the plant's hp and damage by 50% of the initial. So lvl5 plants are three times as strong as level 1.

7:37 You cant skip to Modern Day after the update. But you can use bug that can skip to Modern day by click Find more at any plant that can be obtain in Modern day. And it will teleport you to Modern day world and unlock the world immediately.

Oh cool, finally, I found other people experiencing this! It's only happened a few times, but every once in a while, some sort of weird thing will happen where my resources get multiplied. The first time they all doubled, and the other two times, they multiplied by TEN. Just recently I had a total of 85 gems. I come back to play the game later, and suddenly I have 850.

For me, supposed after max level or mastery level, have feature custom level to be fun and challenge and not too easy if we play campaign or adventure or offline(except penny pursuit, because it's difficult, same with battlez). I like upgrade level, but i don't like is don't have feature custom level to make not too easy.

I still find 1st pvz to be a superior strategy. 2nd... Well the biggest upside are the amount of plants and the fact that they can be temporary boosted to perform a 100 time better for couple seconds. And shooters turned out to be great. Loved garden warfare and admired battle for neighbour ville
