He didn't want to file a claim because his rates would have been sky high after Second, I would never and most of you wouldn't either have your 16 year old accept delivery of a car that had been fixed by a body shop. There's a ton of stuff that could still be wrong. Third, the mom has to do better. Clearly they both care about the daughter so at some point they need to come together. Its very likely that prior to the show he had told the producers he needs the hat on for medical or religious purposes so the judge already had it in her notes that he needs the hat on. So all she asked for was he adjust it so she can see his eyes. if you watch previous litigants with hats she DOES ask them to take off or she asks if the hat is for religious purposes

The judge called it. There's no competition! The plaintiff is salty because his ex moved on and found someone who was a good step parent to his daughter. It's a blessing when that happens. The daughter's love is not diminished by accepting the new person. Therapy helps.
