My dad passed away almost 20 years. The missing never goes away, but the pain from loss gets better over time. There will come a time when you will feel fine with the new normal.

So sorry for the loss of your sister. Keeping you and your family in my prayers. I think you're doing amazing Ally! Grief is a strange void but I think it's like being in this long dark tunnel and because it's so dark you can't see what's in front of you, beside you or behind you, it's just total blackness that is impermeable but you have to move forward in this darkness not knowing where you're going but you move in faith, you move forward, there's no going back. At some point there is that tiny opening, you start to see that tiny fleck of light and then you start to really see your surroundings and you keep going towards that light and everything seems more clear, the uncertainty is gone and you start to breath easier because now you know your bearings, what's in front of you, beside you and behind you. That is grief and you will be O.K. You look absolutely beautiful, you are taking care of your family but most importantly, you are taking care of YOU. Big 🤗❤️🙏

I definitely understand the whole grief thing! I lost my brother back in august to an overdose, I lost my grandfather this past January, and just a couple weeks ago I lost my grandmother. You’re strong but it’s also okay to cry! ❤ I like to stay busy too it helps makes things easier because im not thinking about the negative as often. Love watching your videos ❤

I lost my mom this past April 6th and I was updating my calendar and saw that I was supposed to take her to a doctor's appointment in June... then the grief hit me all over again 🥺😭

I lost my sister on February 5, 2021 and that date as well as her birthday are two very hard days for me. I still cry.

Hi @WonderfullyAle I understand your loss… my brother whom I was very close to passed away in December. Even as I type this it still seems so unreal and I just become flooded with emotions… I have found myself keeping busy and just filling my plate to keep me from thinking and feeling because its just so incredibly painful. One day im ok.. the next im a mess but I am constantly onto the next task that I dont allow myself time to grieve. I cry when im alone.. in the car.. in the shower.. or just any time I have some quiet. Im soo sorry that I understand your pain so well. I hope you find peace and comfort amongst your family. Grief is a process, give yourself some grace. You will always miss her, but with time it will get easier. I lost my husband 4 1/2 years ago He had been sick for 3 years before he passed and I was his primary caretaker. After he passed, I felt so many emotions. At first felt relief especially because he had no real quality of life left. After the relief, I felt numb and I also felt like I had lost my identity. For the three prior years, so much time was wrapped up and caring for him, that I didn’t know who I was anymore. Then, I felt sad and angry at him for leaving me. I also felt guilty that I didn’t do enough for him. I kept saying I should have done this, or that, blah, blah, blah and it took me time to work thru my feelings. I did see a grief counselor who was very helpful to me. So what I am saying if you are feeling stuck in your grief and need some help working thru some of it, don’t be ashamed or scared to reach out for help.
