A few words on Smooth-On's ONYX resin

Күн бұрынTalking a bit about Smooth-On's ONYX (Slow) resin in comparison with SmoothCast 65D, both of which I use in my prop-building endeavours.

If you follow directions and have 1/2 brain, you can get these resins to work. I've been casting for over 30 years and always come back to Smooth-On because they have more variety and bring out new products all the time. Their new 57D is great for slush casting, coloring and making helmets/parts that you can pound with a hammer.

Great video sir, quick question. I just created my chest piece out of standard 1/4 inch foam (should have chosen a thicker one I know...) I have it layered on the high parts of the chest piece with another 1/4 inch piece of foam. Do you think ONYX is a bad idea to coat the armor or do you recommend going with the 65D? Thanks for the help!!
