The tyrant king Thanos!
Finally. The last piece of my Marvel Infinity Saga collection of props. Well…for the time being.
This is a fully 3D printed prop.
It was printed at 200% scale. And all in all, that makes it a 502 hours print! Thats 21 days of effective print time, not counting slicing, setup and maintenance etc. Which makes this my biggest and most time consuming 3d print to date.........Cant wait to do something bigger.
But that’s all done before this video build starts.
I figure the actual printing, sanding, fillers and primers are pretty basic and known by now. So this time, we jump in at the point of the actual paint job. And hopefully try to bring it to life;)
I would love to get some feedback on this video build. So please, feel free to leave a comment.
I really hope you enjoy it:)
Thanks.

And just in case you where wondering…
Here is a list of some of the basic paints and materials I used for this build:

Green Stuff World glossy black base coat
Alclad Steel, duraluminum, bronze and copper
Matt and glossy varnish from Alclad and GSW
Filler Primer, from a cheap spray can
Green Stuff World Liquid Mask
Anycubic Resin
PLA filament

You have earned a dedicated sub with this vid. I thought this level of modelling was gone. I come from the mid-late90s era of competitive modelling. I have placed 1st 2x in the Golden Demons (Way before the slayer sword was thing and instead it was rewarded with a job on the studio staff). I've placed hi in Ral Partha and Gen Con comps. Most people don't realize the serious competitors back in the day started working on their next years entry before current years was finished. We often made half a dozen copies/varients of our entries. Was truly a glorious time. -Mike Stevenson. Edit- For a gloss gold a Zenithal terracotta brown with a pre ultra flat back oil wash has always suited me best. Don't forget the green/purple washes in between highlights and weathering to make it pop. Edit2- double thumbs up for the white washes. I see so few folk use them. I use an acrylic ink or a vinyl white paint.

very nice. one bit of advice is that I would have saved the " dust " from sanding the clay to add as a type of texture layer. I do this with a lot of the miniatures that I paint.
