My sanity is shaking with the amount of "popular boy fall in love with the bullied girl" movies I have watched. Can't people stop with this cliché genre and give us something different too? Though I still watch it but man, I will be happy to see "bullied boy fall in love with a bullied girl" too. Something that unusually happen in movies, but will be amazing. OK so a lot of people are giving their opinion on this comment I made, so I'll love to give mine too. I never said I hated this concept of dramas. I never said I'll stop watching them. I never said they should stop making this. What I mean is for them to change genre, that would make us to be curious on how it will end. Movie concept like popular boy fall for bullied girl is a very popular concept that we all know how it will end, but still watch it for the dramas within. But why must the bullied need a popular person to help them before they can stand for themselves? Why can't a bullied boy ever fall in love with a girl that might also be bullied? Since love knows no boundary. They can work it out together to tackle bullying and not necessarily need someone popular to do so. Now this will bring curiosity to the viewers on how they'll tackle bullying and stand up for themselves without the help of someone popular in their school.

The reason why this kind of movie is so popular is because this kind of story would never happens in real life. Popular guys won't fall or help bullied girls, so the bullied likes to watch these kind of movies dreaming that one day a popular guy would save them and turn the tables.

@Mel Leonie Nahh for me the reason why this kind of movie is so popular is because of an unexpected love and rarely happen to anyone or in short they watch it because of what love can do or what love can change.. everyone CAN have a second chance to change ... like even a popular or a bully can love or can change and its rarely exist tho when you really love someone like you will do everything just to make her/him happy even it cause to lost something important to your life you are willing to do it... right? So it's very interesting to watch

A lot of people seem to be put off by the fact a lot of asian movies or dramas, or just in the film industry in general, have a common theme: where the popular boy falls in love with a bullied girl. For me, I actually like it. I get that some people try to get deep with it and look at it in a different meaning, but you gotta remember these are just fictional stories and fantasies. Plus, nowadays a lot of modern works have new plots and different themes from this. I just like these types of plot because it never gets old to me and as someone who has always been insecure and rejected, these types of plot always make me lowkey excited. I get it though that it's repetitive and boring for some, or some people think they make a bullied person seem weak and that they need someone strong and popular, but tbh it's just a fantasy and made up story for people like me to enjoy.

I agree with you... But yet again I can tell why people wants to look for something more... Bc in these types of movies the popular one always fall for the nerd or the bully and sometimes u need something different... I guess im saying that if you stick with one type of theme it starts to get boring but if you add a mix it would be always interesting... tho I wish this stuff happens in real life... OHHHH MY gODD ITS A SERIES- omfg the manga is seriously my favorite and the character development and the art is gorgeous. Literally, I love the series sm- I didn't realize that its gonna be a live series- omg omg omg I literally love the manga since when it first came out!! AHH all the actors/actress are so pretty gosh I'm def gonna watch this. But i recommend reading the manga for a more feeling and the beauty of the art is literally amazing

I have KZfaq in french so the title was translated to "La fille qui est toujours harcelée s'avère être le garçon le plus populaire de l'école" which means "The bullied girl is actually the most popular boy in school" xD I was waiting for a plot-twist explaining that the guy's secret is that he's her from the future after a gender transition and traveling to the past to defend herself. x)

You guys need to read the manga. The art is so pretty and kai is super boyfriend material😩 the whole story is sweet and wholesome. This aint just the typical cliche plot. The fl really gets out of her shell and even says across the line that she'll be fine even if kai is no longer there helping her. She does not depend and got kai to fall for her for being strong willed and pure kind AUGZXH JUST READ THE MANGA I SWEAR the movie doesnt do it justice

I actually like Manga a Lot better than the Movie. Here in Movie, Uka is too insecure to be with Kai and get's insecure after knowing Serina. BUT in Manga, Uka have felt the Gap between her and Kai many times. But she never gave up trying to be the best of herself and Kai always helped her by just giving her a Lil push. That's all it needed for Uka to go on & Find her own way. In Manga, she is a Strong character who is determined to find her position in that school. Making friends, taking leadership in school festivals and trips, trying to be friends with her bullies (even though it wasn't appreciated by many at first and tried to demotivate her). I actually learned a lot from Uka in the Manga. And the way she always worked hard to herself and others, how she looked after her friends, how she wanted her school life to change... It also Changed Kai. It made him want to put more effort in school (so that the teachers would know they both are not a distraction to each other), It made him want to get approval from her Dad, and Also made him wanna have a good stable future. They Both Made each other stronger every time💜. It's just beautiful. It's still ongoing, BUT I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!! The movie....idk...I didn't like it personally.

The message is: Don't be a drama queen. My parents got divorced and whenever someone ask "where's your dad?" I'm just like "they divorced" I never thought it's a shameful thing to have incomplete or broken family. Idk what's the big deal of Kai not telling everyone his secret. In fact, he could make his secret some kind of flexing or self esteem boost like "my dad abandoned me, my mom is long dead but I'm still alive just fine. I even get heckin popular here at school"

the movie showed like the half of the manga or maybe less. i will love to see a part two of the movie. in the manga, it started like the girl needs to be saving and a guy just saved her. but after, the girl started to learn to stand on her own feet. the movie just showed the start of the character development of all the characters that's why i'll love if they release a part two.

I like the manga better, it's still ongoing and Uka has come a long way and although it seems a cliché plot, it's not because later on you'll see that Uka had a lot of qualities that Kai respected and he learned alot from her too. So its not one sided at all. PS: did they ever make an Anime for it?

The main female lead was ok until she kept being passive about wanting to know the main male lead family ..I mean him showing his uncomfortableness when being asked those question wasn’t enough to make her think “oh I’m making him uncomfortable”,didn’t like the fact he had to apologize for not wanting to share the fact his family died..I really like the main lead ex she was definitely my fave character from this movie or show based on this video (sorry I forget easily so I couldn’t remember their names 😭)

The amount of overprotective-ness, over-indulgence, and over-possessiveness is portrayed as cute here, Idk whether to laugh or cry or to rip my hair out! I hope someday we could move on from all these cliché stories

I literally can't watch alot of Japanese series or Korean cause the cringe is real sometimes I watch Thai ones bc I like the hate love relationship but daymn I get tired by the rape hitting and always violent scenes like can't you just f*ck without rape qhhahahaha but there is one that I would recommend it's with the girl from pretty little liars the one with thick eyebrows wait ✋...
